"I date for marriage only" - Idk why this isnt spoken about as much in modern society. I really love how open you are about these things. As a Bahá'i, I date for marrige but when I talk to people about it I get a lot fo mixed opinions. Some get genuinely surprised which is intresting, because in my opinion, whats the point of an intimate dating relationship if you aren't planning a future together 🤷♀ Love your opinions and how open you are to all these subjects. I’m glad you get it! I understand that some people want to have their fun. I think you should experiment may be a tiny bit when you’re young to know what you like and don’t like, but once you hit your mid-20s dating needs to be taken seriously IMO. I could talk all day about how casual dating creates emotionally unavailable people who never want to improve for somebody (because there’s somebody else they can go mistreat on bumble waiting for them.) I just can’t stand this notion of seeing people as disposable!

I worked for a year in Tokyo and Okinawa, and I absolutely loved it. The people are so polite, the food is amazing, and it’s the cleanest place I’ve ever seen, loI. I’m working in Korea now, but I can’t wait to go back to Japan one day!

Japan is my favorite place on the planet. I've been a few times and think I'll always keep going back. The jet lag is serious though, imagine how bad it is coming from the east coast! Anywho, it's fun tagging along with you as you explore Japan for the first time. Wandering in Tokyo (and the rest of the country) is fun and exciting, have the best time!

No, wait, you literally walked past my apartment building. This is surreal. 😂😂😂 和幸 is my favorite tonkatsu place, too. You can basically get to anywhere in Shinjuku walking underground. Haha.

Seriously 😂 try the karaagebo (fried chicken on skewers) and DIY smoothie from 7-11 while you’re here! Also, Anthony Bourdain loved the Lawson egg salad sandwich. I think the one from 7-11 is better. And for an awesome view of Tokyo, the Sky Tree is the best. Hope you didn’t get harassed too much on your way to Godzilla! It’s annoying over there.

Japan initially wasn’t on my bucket list, but I somehow ended up in Osaka. I liked it so much that I plan to go back-and spend more time there hopefully this year.

When solo travelling I find that there is always a local cooking class on offer. It’s a great way of meeting people, learning about the culture and also getting to know the secrets as to why the food taste so much better than how we make it. For instance, Thai Green Curry taste amazing because they make the paste from scratch, which isn’t as difficult as it looks and because they fry the paste at the start of the cooking. 🤯 see. Secrets. 😃

You can probably get contacts without a prescription in a pharmacy there. In Israel (where I live), you can just buy contacts over the counter at a pharmacy and its much cheaper than in the USA. All you need it to know what prescription you typically wear.

I had the same exact thoughts about Korea... futuristic in some ways and backwards in others.
Korea is awesome. And many Christians there unlike Japan. KS should have gone there.
I didn’t like Korea that much. Seoul sky was brown with pollution and it smelled like kimchi. I lived there for 3 years in highschool. Maybe it’s better for adults? I never saw the nightlife really since I was 13-17
@@maverickbull1909 Me either, night life might as well be the same as day time because Korea never sleeps. I wanted to go to Jeju but never made the time to. If I ever do go back it will be to visit there. I actually love Kimchi, one of the only foods I could stand eating while there.

I graduated uni with a degree in Japanese language & culture in December. I went to Japan for the first time is the January. I was there for 18 days. I loved it. I’m glad you had a nice time though. I think it’s brave and funny that you went on dates while you were there. I should try doing that next time I go.
