    I couldn't agree more with them. It could change overnight. The people that live and work and own shops in that neighborhood know this, too. The problem is that there are not enough people who care. People pay a lot of money in taxes, especially in California and in San Francisco. They deserve better protection and better representation from people in office. And until that happens. This is going to continue to be a problem. Don't you agree?

      @Chris PNW Chris, that's a really good question. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of solutions to this issue. The residicism rate is high, and the rehabilitation process is unsuccessful in the majority of the cases. Like I said before, there's not a lot of options. I think Harsher sentences in prisons may be the only option. Building a new, bigger prison would keep them safe & off the streets, a roof over their head. Food in their stomach and away from the public. As harsh as that may sound. like I said before there's really not a lot of options.

    • @chrispnw2547
      @chrispnw2547 Рік тому +1

      @@Patrick0900 I believe no one wants to see what we saw in this video and people working hard and paying taxes want to see resources going to waste.
      There is another option no one wants to talk about however, we are now there. The USA is borrowing at extreme rates, crime and the associates costs are extremely high, retail theft is destroying once viable businesses (who pay taxes), property taxes can no longer support the level of resources now needed to keep a city viable.
      When a person is a long term negative expense on society with no hope for being a contributing asset only two options remain: 1) Find a charity willing to support them long-term or 2) eliminate the long-term expense.

    @2:03 Roberto Hernandez and countless others think they have answers BUT what does he actually know and understand? All over California there are people living on the streets because they refuse to take shelter beds because they have requirements (no weapons, no drugs, no alcohol, no violence, curfews) for them. The city leaders are simply not fit for purpose and government is one of the last positions where you can be highly paid yet be highly unqualified for your job. Roberto, would you like to offer your time to understand what it takes to maintain a safe and secure shelter for the un-housed (aka homeless)? I will bet Roberto (like many citizens) do not fully understand what it takes to deal with drug addicted or mentally ill people living on the street.
