I think athletes should be allowed a maximum of two transfers. It's not a good look especially if you want a gig at the next level. And no NIL money either!!!! I remember back in the day when you were looking for a job, employers looked down on what we used to call 'job jockeys'. Too many jobs in a short period of time. While it can be frustrating to sit for awhile (see Aaron Rodgers-not a big fan- and Jordan Love). Talent seeks and finds its level. You get a feeling if you can't beat out a Maddux Madsen in Boise St., maybe you're not as good as you think you are.
@@MrMcme101 Does "Dude" mean Nelson? In one of his few times of play, he looked totally uninspired - going thru the motions. In the military he couldn't rally me to use the latrine even if my eyes were floating.
I have a buddy that works with the BSU team and told me that Malachi is just a lazy player. He will show up late for practice often, doesn't pay close attention to film, he will intentionally park at his paid parking spot halfway across campus because he wants a nice spot to park. This causes him to be late frequently. I have seen him play live and while he plays well I think his actions off the field affected his career here in Boise.
He’s was always a bit overrated and he was clearly not ready to start as an underclassmen. Kids these days feel entitled to have everything given to them straight away. But the reality is at this level even if you’re a 5-star, college is a different level. It’s grown men out there. He might develop into a decent QB as an upperclassman but it’d probably benefit him to actually stay with a program for a few years learn the system and playbook in depth. Instead of bouncing around every time he faces the slightest bit of adversity and isn’t starting after a few months on the roster.
@@DPMixing Thumbs up, DP. He was a big fish in a little pond in high school. Then, in D-1 football, he found himself as a little fish in a big pond...it happens, just look at "Cowboy Hank" and all his portalings.

I know this for a fact bc I have a background in filmmaking and I also have season tickets to BSU football games. Wherever Malachi goes he must make handling his light sensitivity issue his first priority because the guy actually has insanely accurate ball placement skills that nobody will ever get to watch unless he can surpass the 60/40 QB's that are blocking his pathway to the NFL.
Not saying he’ll be this level but I haven’t been this excited for a transfer since Cam Ward transferred from Incarnate Word to WSU. Devon is going to be can’t miss tv
BSU fan... I've been really bummed that they didn't try to get him in more. His ceiling is WAY higher than Madsen. Even thought he's managed games well, we've most likely seen the best of Madsen and next year when Jeanty is gone, BSU is going to struggle without an elite skill RB or QB...
They were trying to maximize Jeanty this year to get us to the playoffs, obviously Nelson was not the experiment they wanted to try when every game meant so much. How do you know what his ceiling is? Were you in the QB room? It’s pretty apparent he is not as good as everyone wants him to be…
Boise State is in a great position to pick up a really good QB & RB in the portal because Boise State is relevant for sure being ranked and making it to the playoffs and going into an easy PAC12 next year I have faith that they will acquire players they need

Tbh, I hope Nelson comes to Cal, we just lost our QB to the portal, he stays at the power 4 level, unless there’s a gem on our team that no one knows about he’s guaranteed a starting role, and we’ve had NFL QBs in our program before.
Nelson already bombed at 2 quality schools so who wants to roll the dice knowing that if he isn't the starter, he's gone (again). So far, he's only been a warm body on the sideline.
What ever happen to staying and competing? Competitiveness! Your only one ankle injury away from starting. These players are going to die in the Portal.
The best QB in the portal may be coming late. Remember, Oregon has a total of 5 QBs in their room next year and Moore and Novosad are both redshirt sophomores competing for the starting spot so whoever loses that battle is likely hitting the portal and either one would be a steal. Also with 2 more 4 star guys coming in, including a legacy in Akili Smith Jr. and yet ANOTHER Hawaiian in Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele(that'll be fun to learn) Luke Moga will likely also split and while his pass game definitely needs refinement he's a freak athlete.
Ducks fan here 👋 I completely agree with you, Oregon has a lot of great Quarterbacks so you know whoever wins the starting job and backup job are the best out of all of those QB’s and yes I’m sure a couple of them will hit the portal if they didn’t make the cut. It is odd. When they announced Boise's CFP seeding, he was sitting in the first row at the watch party and was as excited as everyone else. I think he couldn't risk waiting another 3 or more weeks to look at opportunities.
Malachi is two-faced like that. The week he announced he was leaving USC, he told team reporters he was there to stay and committed to USC. Dude always has an ulterior motive behind the scenes. Honestly with his lack of production and shady intentions, if I was a FBS coach I would keep FAR away. What’s the point of signing someone that’s just going to bounce after a year? It’s ironic how Boise St fans were so excited to sign him, he just did the same to them as he did at SC.
