I watched this show. Is called 1923, and believe me when i say, they had terrible deaths. Hell is child's play😂😂😂😂
Catholic school was that way for everyone back then. My dad went to Catholic school. He is 74 and he said the nuns beat them regularly with rulers.
Your pathetic. Your father wasn't stolen from his fucking family and FORCED INTO Changing every facet of their culture. Did they rape your poor Daddy too? Shut your mouth. These people suffered
I went to Catholic school in California and in Washington DC. Couldn't have had more wonderful teachers. My children went in Virginia. Same experience. The nuns were kind and loving.
@@chelledegrasse2787it depends on the nuns

I am 45 raised in Catholic school in San Francisco and I remember specifically when we must behaved, our teacher would call us to the front of the classroom and whip us with a pointing stick
My sister asked me to find the name of this movie. I learned that it is not a movie, but a series called 1923.

My grandma was in one of these schools and later on in life she became a monster to my mother. My aunt was a favorite so she didn’t get it but she abused the living shit out of my mom, also became a major alcoholic. That’s largely where the abuse came from and I’m not making excuses for her actions but these schools were awful. Separated my grandmas family except she had one of her cousins. Funny part is I’m a white boy I’m only 1/4 Navajo, but all that sent a chain reaction to my mom and now she’s brain damaged. Y’all can shit on my all you want but generation trauma is a real thing. I do think how you take things and handle it is half the battle but some people don’t have the strength…
Also look up the thousand mile walk, it’s the Navajos version of the trail of tears. Pretty fucked up
Also just recently in my state just like in Canada they’ve found mass burial pits of Navajo kids in there under those old boarding schools. Slaughtered so many children. Kids would just go missing. I sometimes think about all those kids who died before they even turned 15 hell even 10.
lol "generation trauma is a real thing"
"grandmom was abusive to my mom but not her sister" ??? sooo its not so much generational trauma as it is your mom being punished by your grandmom
so true it's a generational curse be the 1 who break's that curse go to counseling learn how to put trauma behind u and have a happy life if u hold on to it it only tears u up inside the person who treated u badly r living a happy learn to let go. why would u give them that kind of power over ur happiness. I'm black so I know a lot about mistreatment I was born in the 50s and segregation was alive and flourishing. I went to counseling for years and have moved forward and have had a happy life. my prayers r with u 🙏🙏🙏
@@TensionSlap Yes, over 150,000 children died at the hands of these ruthless Catholics and Protestant “teachers” who were warped and demented in their own thinking and behavior.
Be the generation that stops the trauma. Get help, support, therapy, whatever it takes. Make certain the pain stops with you! All things are possible! You can do this!
A News investigative documentary titled 'Kamloops: The Buried Truth' shows how, despite the media and politicians telling you the contrary, not a single body has been discovered at the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.
You can teach without beating people
Tell that to the catholic church
This type of thing happened all the time in boarding schools but in Canada was way worse there just for speaking native language you would be spanked until your hands were bloody sometimes starved the whole day
God to these nuns on the Judgement Day: "Depart from me for I never knew you!"

I've watched the entirety of season one and I thought it was phenomenal, however these scenes at the Catholic school were extremely difficult to watch. The nuns and preists were so brutal, so abusive and I found myself so angry. The attitude of superiority they carried and displayed was shocking to me, yet I know it to be true. We never have the right to eradicate a race of people all in the name of God. It sickens me. I'm part Native. From the White Earth tribe of the Chippewa Nations in Northern Minnesota and Canada. My great grandmother was a healer and gatherer. I am proud of my Native heritage.
May you always be at peace

it's the "okay, that's enough, that's enough. I swear I'll hit her" comment for me.
when I was a child about 10/11 I went to Catholic school for the summer those nums were mean as all get out they hit u for no reason all u had to do was make a mistake or speak out of turn be late just do anything that displeased them they found a reason to hit u once she gave me a flash card she told me not to write on it but I forgot when she came around to check how we were doing she looked at me and said I told u not to write on the card I looked at her wondering why she was so angry she slapped me so hard I put my head down on the desk and kept it there until the end of class. I was afraid to tell my mom or dad because I thought I would get in trouble and I knew how they would act if I told them somebody hit me let alone the teacher they would have torn the school apart.
Now that your older do your parents know now
@@leobronson5464 when I was 12 I told my dad he said I should have told him because it was wrong what she did and because it might have prevented it from happening to someone else's child.

Where can I see this ?
I remember having an old tutor on her 60’s that compared me to her younger self telling me that if she wrote cursive wrong, nuns would beat her. (I was in 3rd grade and she’s friends with my mom)
I'm only 65 years old but when I went to school k through 8th they hit use with rules and petal and if you really bad it had holes in it
What does holes do in it
That lady reacting to the video, is that the same lady who is the nun using the ruler?
To assure you guys the lady beat the crap out of the nun
For the people in the comment section saying “OHHH ALL CHRISTIANS AND CATHOLICS ARE LIKE THIS ☝️🤓,” newsflash, they aren’t. This show is literally set in 1923 and shows the abuse of power in the school. I literally go to a catholic school and we are not treated like this. I’m sure there are some cases today where some people abuse their power in catholic schools, but I’m not sure. So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not think that all people in the catholic religion act like this.
And yet people are still confused as to why we either hate Christianity or think all Christians are the same.
whyd yall cut out the part where she kicks the nuns ass??
Literally my mom 💀
In India it was happening till the 90s and early 2000s.
I went to Catholic school as a baptized Lutheran (yeah great start) I was made to kneel on rice for 3 hrs cuz I did the sign of the cross wrong….
My oldest sister was in public school in the 1960's and the public school teachers were every bit as free as with the use of the strap.
BS! Nuns were cruel and angry! Ya think Jesus would approve?!
@@Mg65116 So were the same percentage of public school teachers. On top of that, my anti-Catholic nephew who was a substitute teacher said that such abuses of yesteryear are nothing compared to the abuses of today because the teachers' unions fight every accusation tooth and nail, leaving the system full of bad and\or abusive teachers.
I went to public school and the vice principal and principal would spank u they would use a pingpong paddle. this was in the early 60s. when I was in jr high they call it middle school now we had a teacher who had a paddle with holes in it he was the shop teacher they don't have shop anymore it a class that taught u how to make things out of wood and metal I think he made it because I've never seen another like it.
I was brought up for my first early years by nuns and there favorite weapon of choice was a hairbrush against the knuckles or a plastic tennis racket on the bare bum ....which I always deserved bless em, never stopped me, maybe I liked it 🤭🤭🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣

I have two native work colleagues one from Manitoba and one from Saskatchewan. One had a mother in res school the other a father. Both friends say their parents never saw or witnessed abuse of any kind, both said were it not for the schools they surely would have died at home of abuse? I'm not denying some schools treated children horrible. What I'm saying is some of the schools were wonderful places. The government set these schools up with assistance from numerous religious organizations. It was not just the catholic church. The Anglican church was also involved. I'm not denying abuse but it was not as wide spread as depicted. Today many natives that attended these schools went on to be lawyers and other professionals.
I go to a catholic school. And its still like this in my country, the nuns abuse the students, the students cry, the nuns get angry and abuse the students over and over again.
