You must have Jim Steinman's and Roy Bittan's blood racing through your veins. This was the exact accompanyment to the original song. Well done you. Fabulous.

Heaven can wait, And a band of Angels wrapped up in my heart, Will take me through the lonely night, Through the cold of the day. And I know, I know, Heaven can wait, And all the gods come down here just to sing for me, And the melody's gonna make me fly, Without pain, without fear. Give me all of your dreams, And let me go alone on your way. Give me all of your prayers to sing, And I'll turn the night into the skylight of day. I got a taste of paradise, I'm never gonna let it slip away. I got a taste of paradise, It's all I really need to make me stay Just like a child again. Heaven can wait. And all I've got is time until the end of time. I won't look back. I won't look back. Let the altars shine. And I know that I've been released, But I don't know to where, And nobody's gonna tell me now, And I don't really care. No, no, no. I got a taste of paradise. That's all I really need to make me stay. I got a taste of paradise. If I had it any sooner you know You know I never would have run away from my home. Heaven can wait. And all I've got is time until the end of time. I won't look back. I won't look back. Let the altars shine. Heaven can wait. Heaven can wait. I won't look back. I won't look back. Let the altars shine. Let the altars shine.
This is from the album score Bat Out of Hell - Off the Record. Get it and you too can play just like Roy did. All the original as played instrument scores for each song off the album. It's rare to find now, but seems to appear on eBay now and then. Treasure indeed !
i don't think I've ever been so impressed by a piece of music ever.. Ben that was beautiful. Incredible and flawless. beautful piano play perfect heavenly
STUNNING!!!!! One of the most amazing songs Meatloaf ever did. First song written for Bat out of hell album. Played to absolute perfection. Only thing missing was his voice. Your insanely talented my friend. Absolute perfection. Bravo!
Amazing! I would think you are part of the wrecking crew. Simply delightful. Meatloaf needed you on the road. The keyboards never sounded this good on stage. You are simply marvelous! Thank you. First time I ever rang the bell.
Heaven can wait is my favourite song from Bat out of Hell...beautifully played here. The great Roy Bittan done a fabulous jon on the original, but this is excellent as well.
Ben...this is a "balls to the walls," flawless cover of a song better defined as a duet between piano and vocalist than merely a song with piano accompaniment. Roy Bittan of Springsteen's E Street Band, as you must know, did the studio work for this track. If it needed to be done again, and he was busy, I would suggest he call you. You play with such refinement and maturity here.
This song guides me since late seventies, and for heaven's sake .. your performance is marvellous, perfect.. only wanna hear (see) this version further on. Thanks !!
I've been listening your version of HCW for quite some time now and have always enjoyed it, but have just been brought back to listening to it by a post made on the Bat Clan. The person who filmed it posted it and I knew I immediately recognized your playing style. Thank you for sharing this wonderful cover of the song, I hope you get to see Bat Out of Hell soon.
Wow! You play so beautifully! You're very talented. You should check out some of Yiruma's beautiful Pianos pieces. He's an amazing composer. My favorite piece of his is "The River Flows in You". Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your talent!
W O W . You are amazing! This is absolutely perfect! plz plz plz do a tutorial or at least tell me where you got the sheet music? plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Absolutely fabulous! It seems like it's the exact same accompaniment to the original track. I have the standard Bat Out Of Hell songbook which I purchased a million years ago and have been playing by it. So how did you come by this original score? Or did you improvise by ear and spend forever trying to master it? Either way, stellar performance! (Mr Steinman) 😉
Can you tell us where you got this sheet music. This appears to ne the actual piano music that appears on the album, as opposed to the crappy arrangement in the official song book. thanks
beautiful! :) i really wish i could play this, you really play it beatifuly! you are such an inspiration maybe you could do a tutorial of this song! wow! XD
Easily the best piano cover of this song on the web.
I'm still watching this 9 years later and a more accurate version I'm yet to find. Bravo!
RIP Jim Steinman, you left us this classic song for the ages.
I don't think I've ever been so impressed by a piece of music ever.. Ben that was beautiful. Incredible and flawless.
RIP Meat Loaf! Perfect song to be played in your honor!
I'd call that flawless. Wonderful to listen to. Thanks.

What can you say about that? I closed my eyes and i could hear Meat singing along as if it was his own version. Absolutely BRILLIANT.
Who in the world would give this a thumbs down?
Awesome... I can hear Meatloaf voice singing...
