From your video, I think at the same focal length 2000mm, the P1000 is surprisingly a little bit sharper. The overall color of P1000 is more saturated than the P950. Moreover, the stabilizer on P950 performs better than the P1000 as depicted in many other similar tests.. Although P1000 can reach 3000mm, we can see it is still a bit shaky at that level of zoom.

i have the p950 and its way better then the p1000. for daily use i rented both of them before p1000 is nice for tripod but the p950 is for everything even close up to the moon handheld

Very disappointed that Nikon didnt use a 1" sensor on these cameras. Their output is so far behind the Sony RX 10 series even when heavily cropped.

Best comparison I've seen between these two. It was close, but I took hi-rez screenshots and looked close, felt the P950 excelled in both detail resolution and color saturation.

Video o ničem. Porovnávat stejné ohniskové vzdálenosti u dvou modelů fotoaparátů je stejné, jako porovnávat dvě stejné rychlosti 90 km/hod. u dvou rozdílných aut ... a to nemluvím o tom, že na P950 po celou dobu byl nějaký bordel na objektivu !

First, learn to choose the settings of your camera. Don't use a scenery with 3 diferent planes at different distance in the same image, because you confuse the camera. Think first, then push the record button. Don't make people lose time waching a video that promise to be relevant, but is not, because you dont know to handle the camera.
