12:18 On this side there are also 3 little, 3mm thick, silicone pads, don't forget or loose them 😁.
I had to replace all 3 because they were rock solid.

I have one of these which works but, sometimes the disc tray shoots out superfast and the motor keeps on whirring. Has anyone came across this error before? This video will definitely come in handy, thank you Andrew.

Yeah they're a bit brittle these days. You should be able to find some replacements easily enough though, you'll just need the ribbon length and width between the pins (pin pitch). I'd imagine this info will be online already somewhere.
Not sure if you would see this comment but do you know where the av port replacement could be purchased new?
Had a quick look around but haven't seen any. If I come across one I'll let you know.
I think the best solution would to buy those hdmi to ps2 adapters and solder them internally
@Neo try a internal install with the ps2 to hdmi adapter
Hey Andrew I am following this tutorial right now I am at the part where you put the seven silver screws in I am stuck at it because those screws are not really going in for me is there something that I'm doing wrong
Yes that shield can be awkward - ensure it's lined up over the USB ports, then over by the expansion port and click it down over the plastic catches. It should then be sat nicely and allow the screws to be easily replaced.
What size screwdriver is needed to take off the top of the DVD drive?
Phillips 000 will be the one you're after

What happen to PSX dvr/console mods??? No more updates?
They'll be coming up soon - just not had the time to get around to looking at it further as yet. That and waiting for some replacement parts to turn up which are now here and ready to go.
I have a problem when I connect my PS2 the red light comes on, but when I turn it on the first thing that turns on the light of the disc reader turns off what is the problem
Hi, just to clarify - when you turn on your PS2 it starts the disk reader and then the whole thing turns back off again? Is this a fat or slim PS2?

My version of ps2 fat is scph-50004 and it is diffrent than your sir
