Commiting the lithium grease tidbit to memory! I have some WD-40 that's lithium based, and it did wonders on the door latch of my parents' mid 90s truck. Tightening that hardware on the glass had to be stressful!
I’ve used white lithium grease in my tracks since 1981 without any issues. If you replace your own watch batteries with the threaded backcase then you can use the cheap 2 post tool rather than the 3 post to install the threaded glass hardware that has no threaded stud.
The track part that holds the weather stripping need to have cork or a thin piece of foam between it and the car body… if your putting drip rails in then installed them, then cork then weather stripping channel…
Thanks! Turns out I had to order new parts as I could not find some of the parts I needed. Looks like the new ones come with the foam. I also found they sell that foam as well, so bought some just in case.
