I feel your pain brother. All this work to get it perfect and then….dang! It’s all good dude. Just part of the process. I was taking about this with a guy who has been doing this for decades…he told me to not get frustrated. Pretty normal to have to redo parts and make touchups. Even if your a pro. Made me feel a little better. I built mine to drive it. Gonna get nicks and dents. Been really thinking about finishing it up. Drive for a year. Then fix all the nicks and F’ ups with some base and a reclear. Like my bumpers, both doors. The hood. Got shit everywhere. I even backed it into my kids trampoline in the first day I could drive it on the street. Was so excited I forgot it was there.…. Hang in there bud. Seems like it’s a normal part of the process but no less frustrating.
Thank you for the great words! I was so upset about this yesterday. I literally almost threw up. Pops was pi$$ed, but did not say anything (he told me later). Not at me, but that it happened. After reading the comments and settling down, you are totally right. Just part of the process. We already have the burn throughs on black in a few places, and now this. So, get this baby on the road and sort all this stuff out later. Sorry about the trampoline! That must've been a kick in the sack!
I’m heart broken for you on the paint, I made a video some years back doing touch up on an Orange chevelle if you are interested in seeing it I can link it . Learned the techniques working at the body shop best thing next to repainting they door.
@@asicerik my bet is if you have a touch up gun and scuff around the are with grey scotch brite and mask around it you could dust in color multiple coats then blend some clear over it.
@@MrFireman164 Tricky part is the darn midcoat. Having thought about for 10 secs or so, I was thinking I could mix up triple-strength mid-coat and just put one coat on. That would give the same color without the buildup. I am not going to do anything with the paint until the car is "done" though, since I might damage something else along the way. LOL. Thanks a million Roger, you are an inspiration!
Good work sir! Just keep thinking to myself I THINK I remember removing a drip rail of my 81? Did yours not come with that piece? Or was that just a preference?
Never easy but looking more like an awesome ride everyday.
Thanks buddy! Where's all the gold videos?

Dang, that sucks! One step forward and two back. Keep grinding.
Yup. Things happen! I am over it now. We'll get it sorted. Thanks a lot!
The struggle is real! Too bad about he paint chip. Hopefully the other side goes smoother.
Thanks a lot buddy. Agreed!
Small detail so important. It really makes a big difference
Yeah, lots of small things. Thanks Sam
Erik. The hurry is the enemy
I did not think we were hurrying.
You really are doing a fantastic job on the camaro I love the energy your Dad haves 👍
Thanks Luis!
That is why you use painters tape on the door and fender edges when adjusting the doors. You knew that.
Would not have helped here. It was a hard scrape
Will do it next time if we have to move something though. Stupid mistake
Glow in the dark Pops!!!
Yup!
If you have time brother, where did you find your rear package tray? Looks like a great one.
Car is REALLY looking great!
Thanks Gary. Picked it up from Camaro Central.

Haha. He is a good sport
That one punishment for saying senorita. 😂

Si, muy mal criado. Wait a minute, I'm his dad. Must have been his mom's upbringing.

Yeah, that would be great, thanks. I figured there must be some tricks and tips for this.

A little paint on a q-tip and call it a day.
We'll see how it goes. Thanks!

No drip rails on my car. I did not look for them either.
