John pearl and jasper maybe jasper I think he goes into the house to see how the family react to an intruder you see deen was quite aggressive towards jasper since the watcher is being extremely carful not to be spotted I think the 3 have different roles pearl writes the notes John intimidates and jasper spy's so they are the watchers
i think it was the the whole group we see at the end with the teacher
My theory was that the house “created” the watchers. Each person that lives there became the watcher themselves out of bitterness after being driven out of the house?

Who was the first watcher then ? Since you’re saying the previous owners become the watchers after being driven out there must be some person that created the first watcher (driven out the first family)
It is definitely the preservation society. It can’t be one person… John Graff and pigtails were working together the whole time. “They are on to us” prooves it.
Just a guess, but it might have been the freaks running through the tunnels that was connected to pigtails house
Exactly same theory here the woman in the pigtails in the video came from the tunnel the watchers are the Westfield club
My theory is that John Graf was The Watcher sending the letters working with Pearl and Jasper. Pearl could have sent the letters to Graf sending him over the edge then blackmailing him into being the second watcher. Remember in the final episode Roger Kaplan looks at him and asks “how’s the family”. Kaplan would have taught the Graff daughter as she was in high school at the time of her death. Which means the only people that can positively identify John Graff are Pearl, Jasper and Roger Kaplan. Dean, Nora and Theodora should have thought of that when Kaplan was brought up as a suspect. Then Dean could have come to a forensic sketch artist and bring the portrait to Roger and ask him if he taught the Graff’s daughter. I highly doubt a school teacher would have forgotten the murder of one of his students. Also John would have gone to his children’s parent teacher conferences which is why Kaplan recognized him. In small suburban towns people know each other.
I think it was Pearl originally. Once John killed his family, Pearl said she’d hide him if he agreed to keep the house empty for Pearl.
In my book there’s no theories, it’s definitely graff pearl and jasper, well not so much jasper considering he hates John graff for making him witness the murder of his family.. but definitely pearl and graff. I’m sure big moe new something about it but wasn’t involved in any way.
I believe everyone becomes the watcher. The letters probably originate from Pearl and Jasper, but we can see all the actors in the red robes.
I thought it was the daugher while watching, and my number 2 was the detective. Now I defenitely would say it's that weird couple.. A shame we never got an answer in the show.
Maybe there isn’t only one the watcher, I think that the watcher are the students from this weird English teacher

It was obviously one of the students from the English teachers class. Maybe a young girl that was ostracized during that time that lived in the area. Someone knows who did it. Guaranteed.
My review is long so if you don't want to read it all then simply read these 3 words: No payoff whatsoever.
If you enjoy comiting your emotionnal and intellectual investment ( not to mention your time) into a show only to have the writers mock you for it at the end then "The watcher" is definitely for you.
Instead of spoiling it for you I'll use an example :
Say you see a trailer for an action movie starring Jackie Chan, Bruce lee and Jet-Li. Being a huge fan of kung-fu flicks you decide to watch it.
The movie starts slow develloping all 3 protagonists and right off the bat you sense a fight is about to break out but for now none happen.
All throughout the movie they keep crossing paths. Not a single fight occurs,provocations
from each party start, tensions between those 3
Giants of martial arts intensify and the movie makes it quite clear that the 3 main characters
are inching ever closer to an epic, absolutely legendary confrontation.
Come the last scene of the movie :
Jackie-Chan, Bruce Lee and Jet-Li meet in a huge ring. This is it, the battle no the WAR you've been waiting over an hour for. The ultimate contest of martial skill which once and for all shall decide who the best figh-
Actually....the three men suddenly sit down in the middle of the ring, have someone bring in a tray containing tea and cookies. The camera slowly zooms out as it shows the 3 men enjoying a nice conversation while having a snack.
The credits start, signalling the end of the movie.
Look.....when I watch a psychological thriller or a detective show or any other genre relying on mystery I don't expect to always have all the answers. But no answers? None?
This is what I mean when I say the writers are laughing at your investment.
They put clues and red herrings in every episode to keep you guessing until you realise they're all red herrings and lazy ones at that because the writers couldn't be bothered to write an original and clever story where everything falls into place at the end.
In simpler terms, the show is a collossal waste of your time. Do not watch it. Please......please do not waste your time

In my opinion i dont think there is a watcher i think that some people startee joining in as a joke or to see whats happening and mitch and mo had the same experience

John wasn’t real. At the last episode he said his named was William.
@@lightskintoby507 that was a fake name. That is John Graff. He was real. He was hiding his name at that meeting because there were new members. Only Jasper and that weird chick get to know his real name for some reason.
Show John Graff did live there. But the real life person he’s based on, John List, never lived there. List committed the murder of his entire family in another house in Westfield. Also, they moved the timeline of the case up by about twenty years. List murdered his family in the 70s, not the 90s.

@@Silas_Part_1 yeah true, but everybody else seemingly involved is a tad bit old. Jasper's whole gang, mitch and moe, the police dude is suspicious, roger, but yeah I guess the generational thing can easily be fitted in.
