Cold water will preserve all colour, hot water removes colour

Not to much change in my household just don’t get to see much of my brother he works for stop&shop so he is working much more and longer hours my other brother don’t visit he just retired from 29yrs of police detective work and works security for hospitals now. It’s me and Tootsie 24/7 which is good with me.... I so luv this bleach painting beautiful dragon 💜

Yeh, I got a little silly on this one, but that's ok. My hubby just shakes his head at me when I do stuff like that, but grins while he does it. Glad you enjoyed it.

I haven’t really been inhibited with my art if anything I have more time for it but I do have my sister now constantly asking me to draw or paint her, her dog, or just artwork for her apartment.
Sounds like a really good problem to have. It is good to have family support. Without it, it is much harder.

Ps question about the bleach painting. I was looking try bleach painting. Do you think after I’ve bleached out the painting could it take dyes? Like if I wanted to add color details or make the image pink or a stronger yellow.

It puts fumes in the air... do it outside, or at least use very good ventilation.

Hi Clara! This looks amazing!! I'm just wondering what kind of bleach do you use and do you dilute it? I've tried painting with toilet bleach and even used the iron like you did, but it doesn't seem to be working. Might be the brand I use in the UK?
Thanks. It is a store brand US bleach. It seems to be a slightly stronger mix then the major brands. Maybe too strong as it ate through the bigger white patches. I'm now trying to mess with diluting it to see if I can get the same result. The brand is Bravo from HEB Stores.
If you are in the UK, HG Mould Spray definitely bleaches fabrics as I've accidently bleached towels in the past. You might need to dilute it for t-shirts though as it is quite strong.
AMAZING!!! If you added food coloring would that change the colors in the fabric?
Thanks so much. I appreciate that. If I were going to add colors, I would probably to toward fabric dyes as I have plenty. Food coloring would be too diluted for me.
how ae you getting fine lines? I have seen the bleach spread and create a blurry look is it because of the iron? also you are really sweet and joyful loved the video, it was very helpful
With a fine brush. Don't use your nice brushes as the bleach is rough on them. The iron seems to stop the spread. However, you need to wash your fabric immediately when done to stop the bleach eating at your fabric. Test the concentration to make sure your bleach is not too strong. Each brand is different. You can get some fabric and create a test by doing some brush strokes from different brands. I would dilute some of these and repeat the test in another area. Make note of the areas before your test. Wash immediately and see which one eats through the fabric and don't use that version. Have fun.

love this video! thank you. i have a question: does the flat iron help the bleach from bleeding on the shirt? when ive dont mine the line of bleach always seems to bleed and gets all wonky.
The iron stops the whitening process in that moment. That way I can gauge the shading. However you still need to neutralize the bleach or it will continue to eat the shirt. ua-cam.com/video/JAgY3GbZWP8/v-deo.html

Does the heat from the iron dry it as well as activate the bleach? Does it stop it from spreading?
Yes on both. It keeps it from continuing to activate and dry fast. So that way I can see the shading. However, the bleach will continue to eat the material, so you need to neutralize it. ua-cam.com/video/JAgY3GbZWP8/v-deo.html
Hi do I need to dilute the bleach and does the bleach damage the iron when u press on there right after applying? Love this and would love to try it myself!
Yes dilute your bleach. I didn't here and it did eat through the fabric. My iron looks and is working fine. I do clean it off after this technique so I don't put bleach where I don't want it.
what bleach do i use for projects like this?
I used general bleach from the store. Test a bit first. Some are pretty strong and this particular store brand was very concentrated and ended up eating the teeth. I had to dilute it by a third.
