I've been DMing new followers to let them know I appreciate them following me. This actually shows who is more apt to comment possibly, too. Some will, some won't. The most important thing is that we interact. Before people would follow me and I would see it and that would be that. I go in and like and comment on their posts now. I do really appreciate them and I want to show it. It's weird, it's social media, and I was afraid I was bugging people. :D I'm not very social anyway, so this has been a mindset change for me.
I hit the Follow button at "make a compliment and a question" this is exaclty what people want and most "coaches" don't say that!!! I love that you are honest! But indeed IG limit the number of DM that you can send in one day without beeing blocked so must be careful there.

Have to say I follow alot of your advice giirl and it does work! Im also your example of vegan blogger as well haha (perfect!). But its so nice actually getting to know people/individuals and whilst your building relationships your also networking! Ive made relationships with local food businesses now in my area and can ask them advice. This would never happened before without "sliding into DMs" and building relationships! Respect girl! ✌️

I'd like to do this, except a lot of my random followers (I'm a singer-songwriter) have music I know they'll ask me to listen to and I just don't have the time. Is there a way I can get around this?
I have the same problem being a visual artist. I was told (possibly by Katie or another UA-camr) to find the people that are your potential audience because you're trying to get your counterparts to be your audience and they're trying to do the same thing you are.

Be careful with who and how many DMs you send beacause you'll get "Action blocked" in no time by Instagram.
Thanks so much! I started Instagram yesterday and had no idea I was supposed to actually take the DM me requests seriously. Now I know how to reply! 😊
