Hey hey just wanted to let you know I like your work and I get a lot of ideas from it. I have axolotl and a turtle. Your feeding your turtle baby mice. It was very obvious. Even the adult big 25cm+ axolotls will eat them. At the moment I got a 12 year old turtle and a 2 year old axolotl. Sadly my 19year and axolotl left the living 3 years ago. But did you know that it ain't good for the turtle to feed them outside of the water. They have a harder time processing the food. If I'm wrong , I'm sorry . This is what I learned over the years.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it! It's wonderful to hear that you've been getting inspiration from my content. It sounds like you have a diverse and interesting collection of aquatic pets with your axolotl and turtle. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your previous axolotl and turtle. Pets truly become a part of our lives. You bring up an important point about feeding turtles outside of the water. Feeding turtles outside of their aquatic environment can indeed pose challenges for their digestion. It's crucial for them to consume their food in the water to aid in the proper processing of their meals. Your experience and knowledge over the years are valuable, and it's great that you're sharing this information to help ensure the best care for these animals.

Clay sculptures will take plumis or volcanic rocks and pat them against the surface of the clay to give it a more natural look, and its less time consuming.
Using plumes or volcanic rocks to texture the surface of clay sculptures is indeed a creative and time-saving technique to achieve a natural and textured appearance.Thank you for your suggestions.

Bentonite clay comes dry in a powder 50 lbs bag. Many uses but commonly used to seal the edges of natural ponds when the soil is too sandy. AG stores usually have it or google it.
@ferretwonderland yes you can make it like modeling clay if that's what you want. The top layer may get mushy but that's what makes a muddy bottom pond. I used it a long time ago to make a salamander enclosure. It was totally the wrong habitat for tiger salamanders but I was 17 and thought u was doing the right thing. A siren would have been happier in that enclosure, or I should have made it for breeding only.
That tail wiggle/wave is so adorable. I see it on the gold dust geckos 🦎 in Hawaii while they’re hunting All those turtles/tortoises aren’t really in tiny bare enclosures are they?!
They only require a small amount of water and obtain moisture from their food. However, I have created a small container for them as well. ua-cam.com/video/Y7mhpp_OtpA/v-deo.htmlsi=2v0_jrt9njCOqC3d&t=169
ok so lemme tell you a few things, first I LOVE IT, second you might wanna check thier sex to make sure non breed unless you want them to and 3 they will bury thier eggs underground, most desert geckos do that, i have 2 moorish geckos who bred and the female laid eggs underground, it hactched and i didnt know and know i have a baby unexpectidly. just wanted to let you know so u dont have to b e suprised like i was
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences! It sounds like you have a special interest in geckos and have valuable insights to offer regarding their behavior and breeding habits. It was so sad to watch the turttle eating those baby animals, I know it's nature but could'nt you feed them something else besides some living animals? They are not living outside anymore.

Great terrarium, and the turtle is adorable too, but please don't tell me what they've been eating.😝

Because they are quite small, requiring significant effort to focus and locate them. lol
