Troubadours were poets and singers who used to travel around and perform to noble families in Italy and France in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. People sometimes refer to popular singers as troubadours
George Strait and Alan Jackson are both humble and unchanged by fame. "What you see is what you get". They each have a great voice and have always been "about the music " and keeping it country. In concert they just stand there and sing; and that's all that's needed!!! (Alan's my favorite)
This is my son's favorite country singer. Elijah loves this guy's music and this is one of his favorites. My son is 22 now. When he went to New Mexico last year with buddies for a week, he came back with a new look on life. As a matter fact, Elijah has turned me into a George Strait fan. But I always loved his song Desperately.
a troubador is basically a rodeo minstrel. someone who travels both the rodeo circut and does concert tours. basically he is what he is singing about. he's telling you part of his story.
A troubadour was a medieval singer who travelled from place to place, literally singing for his supper. Some of them were very famous, like Blondel, the rock stars of a long time.
In my life I love 2 things: WWE & country music. This embodies both. Undertaker was & is my favorite. So for him to select this song for his retirement announcement is just beautiful. George was my last concert before corona. During each set of songs he’d face a certain part of the audience. He just happened to face my part for Troubadour. This song is very special to me for all those reasons.
a Troubadour is a Song writer, in a Bull fight after the Bull fight was over a Song writer would come out and sing a song to the crowd that he had writing. the matador was the Bull fighter and the Troubadour was the song writer and singer

I believe that George got his start singing at the rodeos that he was competing in. A troubadour is a travelling singer in ancient times. The lords of the castles, if they were pleased would allow them to stay for free and would pay them with food and rest. " singing for your supper"
