Here’s Part 1 - ua-cam.com/video/pCG3QqdhK-0/v-deo.html - This was my first time animating a fight scene. I'm still learning and trying out new techniques. There are scenes that was not in the manga that I added. Just to make things flow together.
Unohana seems like the nicest of the captains and is a healer to boot, Turns out she only learned healing so she could inflict more suffering and was also a serial killer and complete psychopath.
They never said what she did that was so horrible. According to Shunsui her crimes were more awful than Aizen's, which is saying something. Also I love the animation.
Her sin is when kenpachi purposely lower his power for him to continue fighting her. Unconciously limit him self. Onohana is trying to unlock kenpachi's old self because she felt she's the reason why kenpachi cannot unleash his true strength.. kenpachi won in their first battle he didnt kill her and lower his power for him to enjoy battle with her again and again.
From what I remember aizen killed the a bunch of seireitei judges and turned some soul reapers into hollows. They never say exactly what she did but when she first ran into zaraki the members of her squad thought that the pile of dead bodies was her doing. Probably because its something that she has done before. So most likely she was a mass murderer who killed hundreds
0:56 The way forgot his name is reading through it journal about her secret past scares me. It's like Harry Potter all over again she who should not be named -this time
I really like how Unohana “true self” was foreshadow throughout the series. Like that one time when a few of Kenpachi’s squad members were causing a ruckus at Squad 4 as they were recovering and Unohana “politely” asked them to settle down and they immediately complied with no further resistance. Or when Ichigo and Unohana were running through the Garganta towards Aizen and she “politely” asked Ichigo if she can run up front to keep the reiatsu path they were on from breaking. Then Ichigo said “Yes, ma’am” with a scared look on his face. We also knew that she is one of the oldest and supposedly one of the most powerful captains. We didn’t see this throughout the series until the final arc. Now with the recent announcement of the anime coming back, even the anime-only Bleach fans can now see how terrifying Unohana can be.
I agree with all except foe the ichigo one because I 100% doubt he knew she was a kempachi, hell I bet half of the captains knew she was the kempachi well atleast hitsugaya for sure and probably byakuya
gorianssj 100 I’m not saying that Ichigo knew who she really was. I’m just pointing out instances when she hinted at her “true nature” to us as the audience. While it’s true that Ichigo did not know that she was a Kenpachi at the time, he definitely knew that she‘s a person that you don’t wanna fucked with based on the way she looked at him.
I had the idea it was this cliche ''nice girls that ask passive aggressively are scary'' trope, while it was somewhat true, she probably would of slaughtered everyone without exception had she unlocked her personality before this fight. Idk if it was sealed away or something, but there's a reason she hasn't shown anything more than the passive aggressiveness till this point.
The fact that Unohana could still very easily push Kenpachi’s sword away even at his level with her bare hands is just amazing. That guy fought Espada 0 and won and she just waved it away like it was a balloon sword.

Tommy Mei it’s sad to say but the artist for Bleach were great they needed better management and better direction. There leader kept dragging his ass on his story even added a shit load of wasted seasons and focused everything on one character for almost no reason it was like a child having that favorite toy. Don’t get me wrong Naruto has fillers but they never made a entire season of fillers. And the fucked up part is they had so much room to work with hell they had 2 other division 11 captains in lock up could of talked more about them but didn’t let’s waste time learning about everyone’s weapons. And the over use of O you thought your power up was tough shit well Gotcha! I had this trump card! O you also had one well boom I had another! O wait I didn’t see you had an Ace well I also have 2 Aces! O shit I’m dead well then I guess you are just blessed but your mom was a whore.

Kenpachi was given it because of his brute strength n spirit but unohana was named kenpachi because of all her knowledge of all the sword styles n ways of killing n then the fact that she learned all kidou of healing so she could fight longer plus her zanpaktou whcih she used this fight to heal the both of them to keep fighting until kenpachi actually killed her

There's a reason why Aizen ran when they met in central 46 and locked her in Hueco Mundo in the fake karakura town arc. For real though if he didn't have kyoka suigetsu she would destroy him

this is great, you’ve improved a lot! unohana was always terrifying in the manga but with the fight animated you really get a sense of how deadly she is.
I would actually think that Unohana could've been a part of the Royal Guards. Mainly because I think in order to be promoted to Squad 0, you must have done something that contributes something big to Soul Society, like Ichibei named all things, Oh-Etsu created Zanpakutos, Senjumaru made clothes or garments for Soul Society and etc. Unohana contributed something big to Soul Society by inventing the art of killing and 8000 sword styles. Just a thought though, let me know your thoughts/opinions.
This might be 1 year late but I was having the same thoughts, Unohana can also become one of the Squad 0 member and potentially one of the best "if" she was on the same level of their powers

I have the feeling if this fight in particular is at least gonna be animated and voiced accordingly, it'll be one of the best fights in the series. I sincerely hope not heavily censored either.

That scene where unohana speared kenpachis neck that was just like how ichigo felt when he first fought kenpachi. The intent to kill that's so strong you feel like you've been harmed by it
No. That is real. Unohana did stabbed his neck but heal him again. You can see a drop of blood on her face after that. The blood was from his neck not earlier fight.
I hope that for part 3, you really bring that A game quality. No matter how long it takes, keep improving that animation, and go beyond. I have confidence that you can do it.

I remember finding this animation when I had just watched a TYBW Manga review video and seeing it again knowing were probably an episode or two away from this actual full fight being animated. I had to come back and give this video some love

Reshi, reiatsu, matter flesh, iron what ever is turned into nothing when coming into contact with this bankai, its sortve like baraggans power but instead of aging it completely destroys it. It destroys even energy, which technically is impossible as it cannot be destroyed only transffered but minazuki destroys it. Unohana had to learn forbidden healing kidou from squad zero to stop her bankai from killing even her, thats why in the Zanpakuto arc it is a hooded faceless creature wrapped in bandages and floating above the ground, it literally is death

Unohana was breaking kempachis self imposed seal. She killed him multiple times and revived him, each time getting him closer to his true strength. She ended up dying because she wanted to be sure he was 100% back at his full potential which meant he was not able to hold back and ended up killing her in the process. I think she also felt guilty for having been so weak that a child had to put limits on his strength thus affecting him for the rest of his life.
@@cesarrangel546 that makes sense when you realize kenpachi was never able to properly develop as a shinigami bc of the self imposed restriction. He never had a chance to speak with his own spirit(and zanpaktou spirit)
cesar rangel but isn’t it unrealistic that kenpachi could defeat her the most feared killer in SS the first kenpachi could be defeated by a child . It’s like they set it to make retsu this badass but at the same time made it seem like zaraki was miles ahead of her strength wise .... which would undoubtedly make him the strongest person in the series
NoLove Monday You're right although my head canon has an explanation for that. They've mentioned before that when a hollow is killed by a shinigami it is reborn in the soul society as a normal soul so what if a Vasto Lorde is killed and reborn? You'd likely get someone with highly skillful instincts (albeit with a more brutal hollow-like style, not unlike Kenpachi's) and maybe even an unnaturally high amount of spirit energy both of which Kenpachi fits to a tee. It would even explain things we've seen from him that seem very much like an arrancar or Ichigo (like being unusually hard to cut, a trait we haven't seen from other captains in canon to my knowledge, it would explain how his reiatsu takes the form of a skull like Ichigo's hybrid powers did, and it might even give us hints at Yachiru and her zanpakuto, which people don't seem to realize when she manifests it summons bestial creatures that look eerily like hollows or even separate pieces of a once single hollow). Basically at least my belief is that he's a reborn powerful ex- hollow with no memory of his former life that retained some of the perks and skills, allowing it to make sense that he can surpass even Unohana .
Indeed, I don't remember seeing Kenpachi be so whiny and self-pitying. Him being silenced by a stab through the throat was the cherry on top, as if Unohana couldn't tolerate to watch him act like that anymore.
My only con in this is that I prefer the voice of Shunsui from the original English dub, but that's personal preference. That aside, I'm glad I got to see this fight was fan-animated!
Pretty awesome that you've done this, hope you keep it up, even after the anime comes back, maybe adapt some scene from the light novels :) Like Shinji's bankai :)

@@dawaunewhitman9167 Her bankai destroys anything it comes in contact with, even unohana herself . The release is. ALL THINGS END. And it literally means just that. Reshi, reiatsu, matter flesh, iron what ever is turned into nothing when coming into contact with this bankai, its sortve like baraggans power but instead of aging it completely destroys it. It destroys even energy, which technically is impossible as it cannot be destroyed only transffered but minazuki destroys it. Unohana had to learn forbidden healing kidou from squad zero to stop her bankai from killing even her, thats why in the Zanpakuto arc it is a hooded faceless creature wrapped in bandages and floating above the ground, it literally is death

Can someone please explain to me why they had to kill each other ?
I never understood why.
Unohana was breaking kempachis self imposed seal. She killed him multiple times and revived him, each time getting him closer to his true strength. She ended up dying because she wanted to be sure he was 100% back at his full potential which meant he was not able to hold back and ended up killing her in the process. I think she also felt guilty for having been so weak that a child had to put limits on his strength thus affecting him for the rest of his life.
@@cesarrangel546 that makes sense when you realize kenpachi was never able to properly develop as a shinigami bc of the self imposed restriction. He never had a chance to speak with his own spirit(and zanpaktou spirit)
cesar rangel but isn’t it unrealistic that kenpachi could defeat her the most feared killer in SS the first kenpachi could be defeated by a child . It’s like they set it to make retsu this badass but at the same time made it seem like zaraki was miles ahead of her strength wise .... which would undoubtedly make him the strongest person in the series
NoLove Monday You're right although my head canon has an explanation for that. They've mentioned before that when a hollow is killed by a shinigami it is reborn in the soul society as a normal soul so what if a Vasto Lorde is killed and reborn? You'd likely get someone with highly skillful instincts (albeit with a more brutal hollow-like style, not unlike Kenpachi's) and maybe even an unnaturally high amount of spirit energy both of which Kenpachi fits to a tee. It would even explain things we've seen from him that seem very much like an arrancar or Ichigo (like being unusually hard to cut, a trait we haven't seen from other captains in canon to my knowledge, it would explain how his reiatsu takes the form of a skull like Ichigo's hybrid powers did, and it might even give us hints at Yachiru and her zanpakuto, which people don't seem to realize when she manifests it summons bestial creatures that look eerily like hollows or even separate pieces of a once single hollow). Basically at least my belief is that he's a reborn powerful ex- hollow with no memory of his former life that retained some of the perks and skills, allowing it to make sense that he can surpass even Unohana .

Indeed, I don't remember seeing Kenpachi be so whiny and self-pitying.
Him being silenced by a stab through the throat was the cherry on top, as if Unohana couldn't tolerate to watch him act like that anymore.
