Now you see why everybody was scared of Unohana during the series her real name was Yachiru Retsu Unohana Remember Kenpachi named his leutinent Yachira cause he admired somebody with that name
It also adds a bit more weight to the conversation she had with Ichigo while they were traveling through the Dangai. Unohana was impressed with Ichigo’s Bankai, and Ichigo explained how he wasn’t even at full power. For how powerful she is, to be surprised by how strong Ichigo was.
Hey, so to clarify some things, it’s always been hinted Unohana had excessive combat ability, think how many captains were weary of her power, I believe there was a segment somewhere where they showed combat class of current captains and hers was exceptionally high. You also know that Yachiru is the name of Kenpachi’s lieutenant, further building that background . And a reminder that Yamamoto specifically ordered unohana to stay out of the fight , probably to prepare for what was to come and get Kenpachi ready .
@@poweredbyrice129 There were two lesser known hints. "Retsu" means "Fierce"' and in the first Bleach databooks, her overall combat ability score was 540/600, second only to Yamamoto and Aizen, both at 560/600, and her special ability was listed as Kenjutsu, not healing
Yes. Also, during the Turn Back the Pendulum arc showing the Vizards origin ~100 years ago, Kyouraku and Ukitake note that the only remaining captain under Yamamoto more senior than them is Unohana. I also think it was said back in the Soul Society arc before they fought Yamamoto that Ukitake and Kyouraku were the first graduates of Yamamoto's shinigami academy. Timeline-wise, that puts Unohana at captain level VERY early in the 13 Court Guard Squads.
@@Watcher40K9 Another thing is, even Aizen chose to bail out rather than fight her in the soul society arc. Don't get me wrong, he'd have won, but it still speaks volumes that he chose not to fight her.

@@kiraa175 I also believe that, cuz Unohana knows thousands of swords skills and might do some exercise while killing and healing Zaraki over and over again.
It's very funny because that means when Kenpachi was blacked out, Unohana just walked over to his fallen sword, picked it up walked back and placed it back in his hand!
One thing that Kyoraku does better than Yamamoto is that he goes head to head with orders from central 46, if he sees that something needs to be done, he pushes his opinion to central 46 until they accept it. 2:32
Unohana had been foreshadowed ever since the soul society arc. Like when Ukitake and Shunsui got scared of her(although it was more of a gag, but they knew her not to be messed with). When Zaraki named the pink haired girl Yachiru after the one person who he admired. And during the arrancar arc, Unohana asks Rudobonne(the bull skull fraccion arrancar who led his arrancar soldiers) to stand down, and immediately stands down and walks away from her.
Even though Aizen knew she wouldn't actually "fight" at the moment, he wouldn't risk losing a lot of his pawns to a single person. And I do believe her being "trapped" in Hueco Mundo alongside Zaraki, Byakuya and Mayuri specifically is within Aizen's calculation since the course of the battle would drastically change if they were there. (Even if Aizen considers Unohana as the "healer" instead of the monster she really is).
If you go back to Kenpachi’s flashback from Ep. 40, he said he named his lieutenant Yachiru after the only person he ever admired. Did you ever imagine that person would be Unohana? Now you guys know why everyone is so scared of her.
Throughout the Anime, we were hinted at the power of Unohana. The other captains were afraid to talk about her behind her back. Aranсar from Hueco Mundo did not engage in a confrontation with Unohana, because he felt that his head would be torn off if he took a chance. These hints were given throughout the anime. P.S. My God, Rangiku has a rival. If you know what I mean.

They don't elaborate in the anime, but Kirio's real form is the sexy woman. She packs on the weight because of how draining her cooking is. That's why Shinji didn't recognize her. She was the slim, beautiful woman when she was the 12th division captain.
This battle is sometimes misinterpreted, whether by the Bleach community or new readers/viewers. For me, it's more about belonging than improvement/training. To begin with, Zaraki didn't even have a name (something that is very important in Bleach) and "Kenpachi" is the title given to the "Strongest Shinigami". As he always won his battles and never found a stronger or equal opponent, he decided to take the title for himself, together with "Zaraki", the district of Rokungai where he was born. Calling himself the Kenpachi of Zaraki. This battle is about changing the title. It's more than finding yourself, it's taking ownership! I see a lot of people saying that one of them shouldn't have to die. However, I remember the passage in Chapter 221 of the manga titled Instinct, where Ichigo faces the Hollow Within and, in a brief moment, Zaraki appears. When Ichigo asks who he is, he responds that he is "someone who will kill him", leading us to believe that it is just an illusion. The interesting thing is that, even though I don't feel the truth, he says very particular things about Zaraki's personality, one of which is that IF BOTH ARE STILL ALIVE AFTER A BATTLE, THEN IT IS NOT ENDED YET. This leads me to believe that it was necessary, otherwise it wouldn't make sense for Zaraki and he wouldn't be able to truly assume the title of Kenpachi. It's an epic battle, but tortuous and full of conflicting and psychological themes, discussing it leads to long debates. NICE REACTION TO EPISODE 9!! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ❤🔥
So from the manga you learn that she only became a healer because killing was to easy and wanted to bring some one back to kill them again. So she is infact killing him. Healing him to teain him harder
Kubo had actually intended to kill off byakuya but the fan base saved him. Good thing byakuya was such a popular character. The fans didn't want him to get killed off and they managed to get kubo to save him.
Okay, now that we've reached this point I can talk about what's always bugged me about Squad Zero 😂. So you know how Kyoraku mentioned that the combined power of SZ is greater than the entire Gotei 13, right? The leader of SZ(Osho) mentioned in the previous EP that the SZ members are imbued with the power of the Soul King. That's what makes them so strong. The Soul King's power is like a mega amp to their strength. Now in this episode, Hikufune explains that those who join SZ are people who the Soul King recognizes as ones who have created something that is integral to the history of Soul Society. So, here's my thing. Yamamoto probably, prior to them receiving the Soul King's power, would clap everyone in SZ(Except Osho) low diff. So, my issue with the Soul King is, couldn't he have recognized Yamamoto worthy of joining SZ on just hands alone? Like wtf, man 🤣. In my opinion, their biggest mistake was not promoting Yamamoto to the SZ because holy smokes, with the Soul King's power, he would have been unmatched 😭!
Also to clarify things its said that unohana killed kenpachi over 100 times and brang him back alive with her healing powers , thats why he died and then suddenly came back all confused , and had a flashback to whenever unohana stabbed him in the throat
Aizen was avoiding her for a good reason! Fans were upset whith what happened with Byakuya. So why he is back, i still remember the uproar, and they are still screeshots o it on the bankai team forum
@@Reviver25 Byakuya was suppose to die there, in the anime you can't see it but Byakuya had this whole stomach tore open and guts disappeared. He was suppose to die there to add more depth to Rukia and Renji's character but fans were crying and Kubo decided not to.
@Johnithinuioian yes. Just because someone says someone else is dying doesn’t mean it’s the case. Look at Zommari telling byakuya Rukia is dying or Granz telling Renji that Rukia died
You'll find out in the next episode what actually transpired to the whole Zaraki "Dying" and then turned out to be "Spacing out". The hint here is that " Everytime you're in verge of dying, you get stronger" line, that realization of Zaraki when he said "I got weaker?", and Unohana saying it's her sin.
Kenpachi has ALWAYS been the stronger one of the two, even when he first met her and fought her as a kid, he was stronger. He actually nerfed himself over the years, down to her level, so he can continue to fight a strong opponent like her, without killing her. Unohana feels really guilty of this and uses her powers to bring out the "old him" and unleash his original power.
Unohana fatally injures Kenpachi and then heals him. In order for him to become stronger, she has to fight with her full strength, but since he is so weak, he needs time to adapt to her. As a result, he dies and is healed again by Unohana. until he gets to her level.
I know it's a long series, but I am amazed every time I see this episode in a reaction how so few picked up throughout the series when they hinted at that don't go against Unohana, They hinted at this on several occasions. There are a few examples when Unohana made a suggestion and someone says like NO, and then she says like I insist and it gives off a smile but they always get scared at like telling her back. Or when she gets to Sado in Mundo and that general that going around taking out former espadas face her he assesses her and don't attack because he knows he wont stand a chance.
9:58 if you take a better look at old Bleach episodes and focus on Unohana interactions with other gotei13 members, especialy squad11, you'll see they all tremble in fear, whenever they see a slight disagreement or displease on Unohana face. Plus on turn back the pendulum: Kyoraku mentions her as one of 4 captains that are on spot for at least 100 years. And... if you go back to ep7, you can literaly SEE Unhonana as a member of original gotei13 from 1000 years ago ;)
Reminder that Kenpachi is a title and that Kenpachi Zaraki is the 11th Kenpachi. It's always been hinted/joked about that Unohana is scary and now you know why. It's seems that Shunsui is very different then Yama as head captain, Yama used to just do whatever Central 46 said with no push back, but Shunsui seems to be more willing to argue to get what he wants.
So there is only one Kenpachi at a time is allowed. Kenpachi is a title for the strongest soul reaper / the one who loves to fight the most, so curently it's Zaraki era. It a shame that we lost Unohana, she could be useful for the upcoming fight but it was her decision to atone for her sins and mistake to Zaraki. First we lost our Granpa Yamamoto and then mommy Unohana. Man this cour 1 hit so hard
U Guys remeber when Aisen and Giv were leaving Soul society when he left Hinamory and capten Hitcugaya to die in 919 (the district that makes the choices for soulsociety) when Aisen and Gin met up with Unohana.Remeber how Asien didn stay to kill her, but ran like a puss ALso when Captens were going after Orihime in Hueko mundo, the hlow police squad when unohana apeard to Heal Chad and the boxer afro Arancar, the holow in comand just took off didnt engaje with unohana. I wonder if it was intentional. XD everybody heard about Unohanas legend
Reminding you guys that Kenpachi is a title giving to the captain of squad 11th not a name, the real name of "Kenpachi" is Zaraki, that's why Unohana is the first Kenpachi, she was the first captain in squad 11th. She's as ruthless as Zaraki, she is not in fact a 'Healer' when you call a character a healer you think of someone like Inoue orihime, she is not. She can heal but she can fight. Zaraki did die there but she healed him to continue their battle.
Despite being used for humor most of the time, unihana scared many people throughout the anime. An example is when the skull-faced killers avoid her but hunt Ichigo lol
Squad 0 is the Foundation of the Soul Society, in both the literal sense and the Naruto Danzo sense... except it has been a million years since Danzo became Hokage.
Most of the story plot involving the Eleventh's "traditions" was a gross mistake done by Kubo, in my opinion... The whole becoming the Kenpachi by killing the former Kenpachi in a duel... Well, Unohana's been alive all this time, she just changed Squads, so... Moot point there. And now the "One of them has to die." Bravo Kubo... Great idea my dude... Seeing a powerful Captain die in battle is one thing. Seeing the creator of the story damaging his own plot points, is another. I do not see Kubo as a writing genius. The initial concept and the characters are amazing, but he's got way too much questionable fanservice, many plot points that become convoluted and plot holes that we the fans keep having to fill somehow. (And then doing the mistake to come forward with them in the Klub Outside Q&A's... ) There's was no reason whatsoever for losing Unohana. It was a storyline mistake Kubo did. He's going to do even more, unfortunately... I still love Bleach, conceptually, and I adore (most) of the characters. But many of them have been made ooc by their own creator and have not been made justice... I'm still going to watch TYBW to the end, just to see what extra scenes get included and if they'll change anything, but I'll be done with Bleach afterwards canon wise.
So you're upset with Kubo and his writing, just because you don't understand it? Maybe pick up a book and read a bit because all of your complaints are thoroughly explained.

And... if you go back to ep7, you can literaly SEE Unhonana as a member of original gotei13 from 1000 years ago ;)
I’ll say it again every episode in this arc is 10/10 great reaction.
U Guys remeber when Aisen and Giv were leaving Soul society when he left Hinamory and capten Hitcugaya to die in 919 (the district that makes the choices for soulsociety) when Aisen and Gin met up with Unohana.Remeber how Asien didn stay to kill her, but ran like a puss
ALso when Captens were going after Orihime in Hueko mundo, the hlow police squad when unohana apeard to Heal Chad and the boxer afro Arancar, the holow in comand just took off didnt engaje with unohana.
Just peak after peak after peak everyday 😭
To make sense of it is that she is but shes healing him soon after to make him unlock his true power. So she is killing him just healing him too.
Thanks for the Bleach reaction day again, i'm sick so i glad watching this Bleach reaction guys 🔥🔥🔥
Unohana went from the mother figure of the soul society to Mommy real quick. I’m disturbed at how attractive she got 😂
My excitement for these videos!! More please
SO MANY REVEAL IN THIS ARC !
unohana only learned healing so that she could fight more
Nah, the sick part about it is she is killing him over and over just to heal him back… that’s insane
We need more
THEY DO NOT FUCKING LOOK SILLY THEY LOOKAMAZING
Can u react to the special ending of ep 7
Silly people in anime are always op
This season goes hard. Cant wait till they get the new set. Afraid yall will catch up and have to wait
She kills and heals kiils and heals so that kenpachi grow
RIP Retsu 😢 La Última Antigua Capitana Dé La Primera Generación
There can only be one Kenpachi
Kenpachi vs Kenpachi
Unohana keeps healing kenpachi, thats why he is still alive
Kept scrolling to see who’d choose to be the cunt to spoil it for those who didn’t know already 🤣
now u know why nobody wanted any smock with unohana 😂
Unohara so toxic that she learned the healing bc she want to toy with the enemy by killing them n heal them at the same time 😂
From here I saw the desperation of the guy reacting hahaha
Creo que les faltó la escena post creditos
🔥🔥🔥
More surprises to come 😂 this is nothing...
Pleaaase watch until episode 13 before you have a vacatiooon, hahaha
Big dogs incoming
there is no way they did not get spoilt about unohana...like really?
First 🎉
He was dead 😏 you will see what happend next ep
In truth, Byakuya definitely died there…. But he was saved due to Japanese Bleach fan’s issuing threatening letter’s to Kubo! :l
First
Actually Izuru isn't dead.
Why are you spoiling like that? It's a surprise when he comeback smh
@@masyan3457 Right my bad. But if he had really died they would have mentioned it since he's a lieutenant.
And now the "One of them has to die."
Bravo Kubo...
(And then doing the mistake to come forward with them in the Klub Outside Q&A's... )
There's was no reason whatsoever for losing Unohana.
It was a storyline mistake Kubo did.
He's going to do even more, unfortunately...
I still love Bleach, conceptually, and I adore (most) of the characters. But many of them have been made ooc by their own creator and have not been made justice...
I'm still going to watch TYBW to the end, just to see what extra scenes get included and if they'll change anything, but I'll be done with Bleach afterwards canon wise.
jesus not be that guy get a job
So you're upset with Kubo and his writing, just because you don't understand it? Maybe pick up a book and read a bit because all of your complaints are thoroughly explained.
