i like Barragan’s look A LOT. His appearance is so fitting with his power. Kinda devastated how he didn’t get the chance to have a proper fight with Aizen just like he wanted
This was a proper fight, Aizen just spared him. Aizen could have killed Barragan at 2:30. Barragan is fully under Kansen Saimin and you cannot dodge an attack you can’t detect. Aizen could have simply impaled his head and Barragan couldn’t see it coming. Of course Aizen is fast enough to blitz Barragan even without Kyoka Suigestu which just shows how unfair this fight is.
Barragan wasnt at full power until aizen gave him his arrancar form in which if aizen went agaisnt him it would be difficult to beat barragan considering he would have a aura around him that would deccay everything but im sure he would do what that kido commander do in a better way than losing a arm to beat barragan@@SunlightGwyn

If there were Espadas that were stronger than him, there wouldn't be any reason to follow him. it's not as if he had a binding vow on them that prevented them from leaving whenever they wanted. They were clearly afraid of him. Also Aizen does state that the Espada are nothing to him and that all of them combined are still weaker than him.

It just shows that Aizen probably either bribed most of the arrancar or forced them to join just like Barragan. Most of the time you'd think he was just some bitter old man but now we see why. Aizen can easily be assassinated with "perfect unknowable" that eliminates every sense perception of the caster, and true death/annihilation (both can be reinforced by Ainz skill that gives his mortal spells power over reality or any defence), plus, Ainz can stop time. The most likely situation is Aizen being killed with silent spells or overwhelmed by summoned monsters

its funny when I first saw it in 2007 I thought the animation was so sick, and was tired of seeing 90's animation like Inuyasha, parts of early DBZ. And then now it's like this is old, and there's much better animation now.

Well, Tosen is blind and it is said that he is unaffected by Kyoka Suigetsu since he couldn't see the reveal, however Barragan doesn't seem blind in the slightest. I think that the Skeleton is somehow just an appearance or he has some hidden ability that allows him to use his senses and move his body despite having no flesh or muscles. So yeah, just anime logic of being a skeleton but acting like they were not a skeleton, there's no other explanation so shut up it's magic

barragan prolly doesn't rely on eyesight but on other senses but still, that doesn't make him impervious to kyouka suigetsu as it affects not just the eyesight, but the other senses as well.
Aizen's Bankai isn't about the opponent looking at it. It's the moment he draws it. Even if the opponent didn't laid eyes on it as long as he mananged to draw it, its power takes effect.
Considering Baraggans power, Death itself, I can't not see how anyone could defeat him without enough time to figure out his power and how to use it against him like Hachi did. At this moment of time, none of them could of touched him, and he could easily of flooded the place with death and wiped them out. It is possible that Aizen did tremendous amounts of research into him before this confrontation somehow, even without having combat experience against him. But even if this were true, Baraggan would not know this and had no reason to not attack at that point. Is that why he held such a grudge against Aizen? Because he had the opportunity and missed it because of a moment of weakness?

Baraggan's power was enhanced by the hogyoku like all of the other espada. It seems he has reached the apex of what a vasto lorde can naturally achieve, but we don't know if he was even able to use powers like respira before this encounter. Also, its clear that his hierro was weak before getting enhanced later on as Aizen cracked his skull with a simple slash. SoiFon literally shot a missile at him afterwards and he was still standing. In this moment, Baraggan wouldn't have stood a chance.

No he can't. It's stated that higher spiritual pressure basically makes abilities not work. Just like soi fons shikari didn't affect him. The esosdss are so unbelievably lower than him in spiritual pressure that they probably can't even touch him with any ability.

He wasn’t that good. Madara was a way better antagonist. Aizen is too silent and arrogant. Madara is more relaxed and has no problem Bantering mocking and playing with his food whilst giving a decent lesson in his philosophy.
No one is pointing out that the hollow girl serving him a drink at the very begining is a humanoid hollow. She's a freakin Vasto Lorde and serve Baraggan as a maid.
Yeah and based on the CFYOW novels, Barragan seems to like to have Vasto Lorde women as his servants based on how the giant Hollow reacted to Harribel and Nel and Harribel's filler episode where Barragan is trying to recruit her to his empire.
I think the way Barragan has treated in the story has to be one of the biggest fumbles in Bleach. Barragan should have been on par with Yamamoto and Yhwach. He is the leader of his respective faction but he isn't even considered the number 1 espada. Kubo really dropped the ball with Barragan.
You would think this would be aizens ultimate opponent for a number of reasons. But mainly because Aizen could never touch him. And if I'm not mistaken his ability erodes even kido.
It’s been confirmed that if the opponent has a stronger spiritual pressure than barragon then his ability doesn’t work on them Barragon has tried to kill Aizen multiple times probably aizen is stronger than all of the espada remember
If you have spiritual pressure a "level" above your opponent some abilities simply stop working . It's also why aizen couldn't feel final getsuga Ichigo spiritual pressure and why death in two taps didn't work on aizen

His Shikai is stated to be two levels above a Bankai. Him fusing with his Zanpakuto is levels above it.

I think the way Barragan has treated in the story has to be one of the biggest fumbles in Bleach. Barragan should have been on par with Yamamoto and Yhwach. He is the leader of his respective faction but he isn't even considered the number 1 espada. Kubo really dropped the ball with Barragan.
You would think this would be aizens ultimate opponent for a number of reasons. But mainly because Aizen could never touch him. And if I'm not mistaken his ability erodes even kido.
It’s been confirmed that if the opponent has a stronger spiritual pressure than barragon then his ability doesn’t work on them

If you have spiritual pressure a "level" above your opponent some abilities simply stop working .
