I'm in the "not a voice actor" category, but I am 100% sure I k ow why I'm here. I'm here because you're awesome, and I want to support the things you do
I use my closet too. I don’t have any equipment accept I have adobe auditions. I use blankets to cover the surroundings area I’m in sitting, when I record. So improvising you know, I spend a lot of time editing to clean the voice by getting rid of the back sounds.👍
I'm always so happy to hear other people talk about all the outside noise they hear when they're in their studio. My closet studio is about 30 feet away from a VERY busy street, and it's right under a tree that loves to scratch when it feels even the gentlest of breezes, lol.
Does anyone else miss Fantastic Geeks? I love that podcast so much and wish that it would come back. I have recently been rewatching all of Brizzy and Tessa’s videos together.💙🤍
Soo cool! In my younger days i did some voice overs for local commercials and had to go to the local cable company for it and remember thinking the vocal booth is something one should be able to easily do at home.
I know exactly what you were going thru. Left over cheap foam. Very nice hun, proud of you. BTW, you did very good on describing the small details. Very talented!!!
You don’t have to wait to do that cause these days equipment is so cheap these days and it sounds amazing you should go for it now cause the sooner you get it the more you will learn about it
I've always wanted to turn some random closet in my house into a recording studio, but never got around to it. So, I just watch videos like this one. Love you Brizzy ❤
Yes! The Apollo twin is amazing! I just got one! Just wanted to say that you’ve come a long way! That’s awesome! Not sure if you remember, but you made a video response to my video (back on the good ol UA-cam days) Mel’s Hidden Talent with your Pokémon impressions video! Great to see you’re still voice acting! You’re amazing! 😄🤙🏽💯
Younger people appriciate your videos so much. I am getting more and more into voice acting but have not as much time as I'd like because I'm homeschooled.
The mic she was holding in the video is the RODE NT1, NOT the RODE NT1-A. They are different microphones and sound VERY different from each other! The NT1 is black and the NT1-A is silver. They are slightly different in price but both in the same general price range, but I think the black one that Brizzy is holding (RODE NT1) is a much better sounding mic. In my humble opinion.
been following you since forever, Brizzy, and it's so heartwarming to think how you used to introduce yourself as a voice impressionist and now you're a real voice actor! ❤
Man what a dream... currently graduated college and into the Corona-conomy so I’m working two jobs atm, but doing voice over work is a dream of mine. Focusing on watching and reading as much info on how to get started properly while saving up money. You’re definitely an inspiration!
You are never to old for color in your life! Great to see you are all setup for a bright future. Wish you all the best for your endeavours. Looking forward to see more videos from you as well. Stay safe and healthy
Great video...The first Mic you had looked more like the Rode NT1 than the NT1A...(My NT1 is identical to yours...black with an oblong metal pop filter) the NT1A has a round fabric one and sounds a little brighter ( I have both). Good job with the closet.
my buddy is a cartoonist, and he sends me a bunch of concepts here and there for this cartoon series he wants to make (maybe on adult swim), and he wants me to voice the character he based off of me if he ever ends up getting his series greenlit, so this is helpful
I am nowhere near the business of voice acting, but I've very near the business of supporting Brizzy and learning new things, so this was fascinating. Thanks for sharing!
thanks Brizzy for the video.. i needed a distraction after receiving bad news about my mom. your smiling happy personality is always such a great thing to see.
Thanks good to hear that you're keeping busy... I'm happy for you that things are going well for you. Looking forward watching upcoming videos of yours.
Congrats on the hard work and upgrade on your studio. Always so satisfying to watch things get organized. Also hope the new set-up works wonders for your future voice over work.
I'm an artist-producer and in an attic and just transformed it with green and black foam, green wrapping paper and plastic black table tops... Cheap as it gets but it's looking pretty sweet lmao
Looks so good!! Well done! And I can relate so hard to the neighbor's shower. That was me yesterday waiting until the waterfall from above stopped so I could continue recording. VO life!!
Young lady, you are one I need to emulate, delightful, fun to watch - but still you get your point across - and a smidge of flirtation as well. Much enjoyed. Thank you.
I love your videos you talk about the equipment you need to get started. The link to the sites to get the latest you recommended not to mention the cosplay expressions I want you to keep making videos
Nice room makeover, just wanted to say ur videos are amazing and ur a great voice actor and impressionist, i love ur videos and ur cheerful personality always puts a smile on my face. Thank u so much we all love u and keep doing what u do😉👍🏻
I'm one of the poor saps in the "im not a voice actor" group but I at least know that I came here for some quality entertainment and motivation to get my life together. I love your choice of color for the led lights ;3
Hi Brizzy! Great job, I hope you love it. I'm also impressed by how you make the most of what you have. Both your closets are goals! I'd love an Island Tour next week. Another future video idea could be to voice characters from books. Thanks!
Loved the video, quite honestly, that's my closet every day. I'm just impressed that you we're able to clean it up. Because it seems impossible for me. Great job Brizzy. 😄
@@brizzyvoices thanks for the tip, I'll definitely keep that in mind. Maybe Harry Potter? Hmm...(that really wasn't as funny as it was in my head was it.) (sigh)
Whoa this is awesome, you did such a good job! I’ve been thinking about doing a way scaled down version of this for my voice overs and this video gave me a lot of great ideas. Also thanks for all the recommendations. That foam is expensive but I hear it makes a difference :D
You did an amazing job turning your closet (which appeared to be hit by a hurricane and then an earthquake lol) to an incredibly good looking sound studio!! I do podcast and your video gave me some ideas for sound proofing and other things. So thank you for that!! Lol. Loved your video! Keep up the great work 👍👍
I've just decided to *really* pursue my passion and curiosity of voice acting/voiceover work this whole past week so this video came at the right time and your studio set up looks so cool and ideal nonetheless! But I don't have a walk in closet for such a makeover, luckily my mum's place is mainly carpet though so that's some insulation there :")) thanks for linking the products though!
I’m a bit of a new UA-camr, so I will definitely look into that mic thing for my birthday bc I can not afford it now. Thx for the tips for better UA-cam vids that r as amazing as urs!!!!
I absolutely love seeing you geek out over this masterpiece! I would love to see more behind the scenes stuff one day! And congrats on so much success! I remember watching that original pokemon voice video! You've come so far and that's so cool!
This is AWESOMESAUCE!!! This setup DIY is really cool, I bet you got inspired by Brian Hull, who has a similar setup like yours. I give this setup a OVER 9000!/10. Hope you don't miss the good stuff later at 4 pm! Good Going Brizzy!
I'm in the "I want to make a home studio" category, but I'm currently living with my parents and will be moving in a couple months to be an RA on my college campus, so I won't be building a home studio anytime soon. I have, however (back in like February) recorded inside of my tiny closet with a couple blankets thrown over the closet hanger line thing while I kneeled between the clothes to record an audition.
This was so awesome. Good for you to make this on your own! I’m getting into this field and have a small den I was planning on turning into this but you’ve inspired me to be more budget friendly and creative. Can you please consider a video on your specific setup ie what you plug into where lol
YES! I love the LED Striplights that you have, I'm DEF going to add that to my booth! I just finished saving for my Studiobricks booth. I SO want the TLM 103...I do have the Apollo Twin, so the mic is next! Anyway your booth looks GREAT!!! Yeah, over ear headphones are very nice! I have the AKG K 271 Mkii, and I like it so far...yours look cool I'll have to look into those! :D Also, we finally got Animal Crossing, soooo...YES PLEASE! LOL!

I never get tired of watching VO studios getting put together. It's so satisfying. :)

Ohhhhh this is so helpful 👀
eeeyyyYYYYYYY
OMG hi Tessa and Brzzy ok love you I am a HUGE harry potter fan
Sooooooooooooooooooooo helpful
If I ever won the lottery, I now have an idea to buy a building in LA and convert it entirely into soundproofed VO studios
Dang can I be one of the VA's who attend said studio hahaha
You don’t have to wait to do that cause these days equipment is so cheap these days and it sounds amazing you should go for it now cause the sooner you get it the more you will learn about it
Brizzy: “Does the ceiling look like absolute garbage cosplaying as a party city dementor?”
Also Brizzy: *yes*
It looks so much better than it was before, what a transformation
Wow I’ve seen you on like 5 different channels we have super similar taste 😂
The Scarlett Solo is perfect. I've been using it for years. And those 770s are perfect. I use them too!
I've always wanted to turn some random closet in my house into a recording studio, but never got around to it. So, I just watch videos like this one. Love you Brizzy ❤
This is giving me such flashbacks when I had crammed myself into my tiny tiny closet to try and audition for an online musical ages ago 😅
Successful? Lool keep pursuing your dreams nonetheless :)

Only a fellow ravenclaw could go in to that much depth and do that much research. This makes me happy :)
Younger people appriciate your videos so much. I am getting more and more into voice acting but have not as much time as I'd like because I'm homeschooled.
I just ordered an NT1-A and a Scarlett Solo.
NOICE
The Rode Nt1a is a great microphone and the Scarlett solo is an amazing interface that sound amazing you made a great choice
@@brizzyvoices can you think of any reason to buy a 2i2 over a Solo if just working on VO?

Well the sound in this video is crystal clear, so clearly the new setup is working out great
I honestly liked all the little toys and trinkets in the background in your old studio, but this is definitely more professional!

Using this for heavy inspiration in my oddly shaped half sized walk-in closet

It must be so nice to have a giant wardrobe to hide your booth in. Houses in the UK just don't have walk-ins like this! It looks amazing, though. :)
With the music background I can't tell how good your space really sounds.
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen for making a home voice over recording studio.
Looks so cozy! I am so happy your dreams have started coming true, I been watching since the old days!
I am nowhere near the business of voice acting, but I've very near the business of supporting Brizzy and learning new things, so this was fascinating. Thanks for sharing!
Me, who knows nothing about sound nor sound-proofing:
OOHHH that's the best mic in the business, and the foam, THE FOAM!
thanks Brizzy for the video.. i needed a distraction after receiving bad news about my mom. your smiling happy personality is always such a great thing to see.
I would love to see an island tour, I love watching your videos and how you have grown into the professional you are today. Keep being awesome
I am taking notes based on this video for my small studio I want to make for recording. Thanks for showing us the process Brizzy, you're such a doll!
You are the most charismatic person I have ever met! So bubbly! I am turning my cubby into a studio much like yours! Keep it up! Love the vids!

Try label remover spray on the wall the next time you take panels down to clean off the old spray.
Your voices are so amazing! Thank you for making quarantine so much better @Brizzy Voices
when are you and tessa gonna do fantastic geeks again? i need it during quarantine!🥰 and the new mic would be perfect....
sadly we probably won't be picking it up again until after quarantine is over.

I do UA-cam ,voice acting for friends, and record vocals for friends with my closet as my studio so this gave me some cool ideas thanks Brizzzy :)
I feel really weird enjoying these videos. but it's so nice to watch and listen to.
