When you are traveling solo in these desolate places and stop for the night, do you feel safe? Do you carry any type of weapon with you for your protection? Just wondering.....

Hi Robert- I thoroughly enjoyed this video . I am headed there in April0 first to Monument Valley and then Valley of the Gods. I am bringing my Mavic 2 Pro. Are you aware of any problems with the drone in Valley. I know it is not permitted in Monument Valley.

Besides: These Germans are champion travelers of the world. You cannot avoid them anywhere, not even in their rented motorhomes :-). 2019 was a great year for visiting the USA due to the exchange rate. Nevertheless, I am always surprised at the high rates of the campgrounds, BUT they have full hook-ups, which you hardly find in Europe. And amenities have their price.

@@oliverjh1281 Bureau of Land Management. Federal lands that can be leased for oil & gas extraction, etc. Far less rules than the Forest Service which has rangers/policemen to check your every move. Most of Utah is BLM land.

so it is not considered as a National Park?? It was closed in Mai when I was there and I took some drone shots from the main street (which is legal even if its National Park to launch the drone from outside the park)... I was just carious if I'm safe to post it on youtube until now :D
It is BLM. They closed a bunch of BLM too during the lockdown.

We stayed there in our 38’ class A a couple years ago without any problems. I loved it there, that nighttime sky is incredible!

Hi Robert. You inspired me with this video to the Valley of the Gods, so I have just been there with my 27 ft. Lazy Daze. It was the most amazing place I’ve been, and to be able to fly the drone was fantastic! I then took the Lazy Daze up the Moki Dugway and on the Natural Bridges National Monument. I enjoyed all the things you pointed out Gooseneck, Mexican Hat, in-fact I dropped at the gas station you said was too crowded. It was nice reliving the trip watching you video! Thanks for the inspiration and tips on where to go and what to see.
Robert, you are amazing......at last section of this clip you brings back my memories from 1999 with my wife that we passed through this Rock over the House. It was in the evening, nobody was there. We thought it was a rock rolling down the house! We took some shots and left......I think it was a road from North Rim to South Rim of Grand Canyon......
This is the load up point if you're doing the full 14 days through the canyon. You start right out with the first of about 100 rapids in the 225 miles to Diamond Creek. I wore a wet suit most of the time, the water is that cold. Geez, Robert, there's no worries about bacteria in the water. You've lived in Miami too long! :-)

At 1:07 time. This is the very spot I camped last year and if you took a walk away from the road there were a couple of large stone circles that were very spiritual. I had to listen to Witchi-tai-to by Brewer and Shipley a couple of times to really enjoy the moments there. It was magical. Did you happen to find them?

We have lived in Western Colorado almost our entire married life, 53 years, and go to see relatives in Arizona a lot. And just discovered Valley of the Gods this last year. It was great. Only stayed one night, then drove home.

YES ROBERT THAT LEES FERRY WATER IS COLD, IT COMES FROM THE BOTTOM OF GLEN CANYON DAM AT 52 DEGREES, WATER WARMS AT 1 DEGREE FOR EVERY DAY IT FLOWS DOWN STREAM THIS IS MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME HERE HAVING DONE 3 TRIPS ON RIVER THRU GRAND CANYON. Been there and done that! A truly amazing place and it cost “nothing” to drive through, stop whenever you want, take photos and then drive to the top. A bit scary but worth it!!!
