If it says anything about this video, I watch you on my laptop which is attached to a 43" 1080p TV. I started with you on the laptop display while I was looking at an amazon order I need to make. By the time you guys hit brickyard, I had you full screen on the big display, and am now sitting in my chair with a solid 8 inches between my back side and the back of the seat propped on my elbows watching every inch of the footage close enough I can almost the individual pixels. Great Wheeling, and Great Videography! (Even if things went wrong.)
That's funny. I was basically doing the same thing, except I was on the phone watching it, and had a movie on the TV, I shut the movie off and put the video on the big screen. Lol
I am seeing this video a little late. It is so awesome watching Kara conquer all the hard obstacles on Pritchett especially rocker knocker! I am so proud for her.I could feel the excitement from you guys. Glad y'all took us along for the ride. We're going back in October & undecided if we're gunna do Pritchett for the 1st time.
Pritchett Canyon is no joke! Y’all handled it very well! A broken u joint and snapped winch line done really sound that bad when you see how hard this trail is.
I feel the pain, but I have to say, this was one of the best Pritchett video I’ve seen that really shows what it’s like from start to finish. Thank you!
Holy cow, this was another awesome video. It was cool with yall having the doors etc off, nice touch Matt. I had to watch it on the big screen, lol. kara girl, you're AWSOME. Isn't that a little deja vu? Didn't you brake ujoint and winch last time, sorry matt. Also, glad Mjölnir ( jason ) was there. He did good. I'm more of an underdog guy. Great job, jason. Over all great great job on everyone. And Don't give sully a bad time he did good.
Love you guys a ton as you know but that's a whole bunch of NOPE from me. Your Jeep looks so good Cara all naked but with the color match sun shades. Awesome job everyone!
Perhaps if you want to run Prichett, you need a dedicated trail rig built for crawling instead of camping. (or just build a rack for the bed that holds lots of spares. :) (I used to know a wheeler who did just that. when he broke something he bought two of it as replacements. one for the repair and one for the next repair)
@@Grunttamer I consider U-joints to be a mechanical fuse that protects the axle shafts, and the axle shafts as mechanical fuses that saves the super expensive bits down under.
I went to Moab about 3 weeks ago and learned 1 very important thing: I am absolutely, unequivocally NOT a rock crawler. I do NOT enjoy it at all. I am much happier on easier, less technical trails. I don't mind the occasional ledge or step on a fairly easy trail, but constant hard obstacle after hard obstacle is just not for me. That was a truly humbling lesson for me after a 1,000mi drive from home and $2,000 spent on the trip overall. I did complete Fins & Things and Hells Revenge and half of Poison Spider, but really truly enjoyed Kanes Creek Road, Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners. So, not a complete waste of time, and I got the BoH badges for those 3 trails to add to my collection.
😮 Intense situations on the trail, on the edge of my bark-O-lounger the whole video! Lol! You and Cara have mastered the art of wheeling IMHO. Gotta ask...was the u joint that broke stock? What brand did you replace it with and are they greasable? Great videos Matt glad TrailRecon introduced me to your channel.
Technology is not far away from being able to do video analysis on all the pritchett canyon videos and calculate the probability of breaking an axle or something like that with a particular type of vehicle with a particular size of tire. We're not far. All the analytics that are about to be available I think are going to be really cool. I haven't heard anything specific I just know that it can be done so it probably will be soon.
Dana 60's or tons are in your future of you want to keep playing in the big rocks. 37's are pusing it on stock Dana 44's. None the less, great video and fun to watch.
Seems like with the Gladiator , you need to carru a few u joints in your tool kit , even carry a rear for the possible event . The Gladiator is far more capable than expected
Dang.... I was hoping to see how your Gladiator did on the second half of the trail. How do you think it would have handled those obstacles if still healthy? Maybe next year?
When we wheel something that technical we always carry spare axle shafts, you have room to do the same, easy trail fix, this trail it pretty much turning into a buggy only trail, 37s don't give a gladiator or a jk enough ground clearance,
Hey Matt, sorry bout the breakage on the trail. You’ll get all together quickly cause that is who your. On another note can i ask you your gas mileage in the city and on the highway & off-road. Thanks man, PS love all the content. Be safe out there and good luck with that awesome gladiator.

Hahahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂 Who TF was that guy?? That’s literally exactly what I would do if I was trying to break a u-joint as fast as possible, Jesus lol
I think you found the limit of your Gladiator. I'd keep it off that trail. For the price of Dana 60's you could buy a dedicated rig for those more extreme trails.
I found the limit of my U Joints. LOL. I may or may not return to conquer this trail some day. A dedicated rig requires towing it out there and that's not my style.
I love that you left the footage of the idiot with the side by side in there lol should NEVER try to hole a vehicle from rolling. Great way to get squished.
Cara's front tires were getting stuffed into the fenders quite a bit. Would you consider downsizing the tires or lifting a little? Or flat fenders? I don't like the look of flat fenders but, that's just me.
Hey Matt, I’m new to all this…When you said we are primarily an overland channel and not a rock climbing channel… What would you say Overland means or stands for….??
I believe this entire crew is very capable of off-roading, overlanding and getting themselves out of any situation they get into. Gotta say there a great bunch of people and Cara is a very capable and daring driver!
Atleast there wasn’t rock stacking in the first 5 minutes on Pritchett like last time! The next 11 miles is no fun after finishing Pritchett! Good video!
First, let me say- I enjoy your overlanding videos; I’ve been watching them for over a year now. With that said- Second- if you have to stack rocks, the trail isn’t for you. The people that run the trail behind you are trying to beat the obstacles and you’re taking it away from them. I will add this little caveat to aid your self esteem- I have a “juggy” JKU on tons and 40” stickies and I didn’t make it through Pritchett without breaking.
I don't agree, stacking rocks and pulling cable is a necessity otherwise your not pushing yourself or your rig. Where I draw the line is pulling rocks out of the way, or cutting down trees to make trails easier.
Toyota driver didn't need to be told to stay on the skinny pedal . 😁😁 Also, you need to be passenger princess for now on when it comes to Pritchett, leave Sully in the driveway.
the money pit will eventually get you. you need to go back to a short wheel base for that stuff. been there done that and got tired of the money pit...
Poor Toyota driver in the Jeep. Having to learn ACK/NOACK software/virtual throttle 2-foot nonsense. What a total sham. Then you brought twine to cable fight. Be a man. Run steel. In case it matters, most other lockers continue to work even when there are no more axle shafts. Does Jeep know this?
