This interviewer shows a respect for our experiences in the diaspora and not talk down to us as though we can't teach each other. Some African interviewers treat us as though we have no sense and come only from bad experiences.
I live here in the U.S in Atlanta, Georgia and I recently started talking to my husband about moving there. I've retired and my husband will retire in a couple of years. We look forward to coming back home. Thank you for the information you're sharing.
Excellent video! I'm personally planning to relocate to Abidjan Cote D'Ivoire this October. I had the pleasure of visiting Burkina Faso, Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire in 2015. I love Africa and I can hardly wait to sell my car and live the rest of my life there. Keep up the good work brother.
So happy I discovered this channel. I have a blog so I'm trying to research all aspects of africa and the diaspora. This is such great content! Keep it up I'm now subscribed.
GREAT! BACK TO AFRICA O is WHERE it's at! Been 44 YEARS here,in Yorubaland Nigeria, raised 4 of my 5 children here, Black and free here! Come BACK home!
I like your channel. I heard about Ghana opening the doors of the country to black Americans and that excited me. I am from the southern part of America and Africa was also taught to me and I want to go there but I am gay and I know I would be killed there or treated badly so.I turn to your channel to bring Africa to me
Homosexuality was not, is not and will be never an african thing. It do not exist in our black/african culture. God made the black man for the black women and vice versus. It is an european thing they did It since their ancestors in greece and rome. Otherwise i doubt that you are a black man.
Yes! So frustrating. I scroll pass his videos now because of that. Every now and again I see 1 where he's interviewed great people I love to hear like Dr. Kambon and Dr. Sharita but I can never finish because the interruptions are just too much. Geesh.
What is it like for getting to know people Marty Mart? Are you building relationships there? Are you starting a business to be sustainable once you go permanently?
not starting a business, but I do qualify to teach on a university level.. so caught up with the culture I have not worked.. I returned to the states to work - money here stretches.. for every $100 US ghana gives $400 of their money... for every $1000 US ghana will give $4000; I just bought my ticket to return in May... the people are good and sharing. I am on another level of consciousness in Ghana..
so much to say... so I have a place on the beach.. its great the beach and my 2 bedroom chalet! the areas surrounding Accu (main city) even within accura most of the homes and apartment are gated..when you walk outside the gate your in a village.. this is my best feature.. hope this answered your question ..thanks
it's good that the african diaspora are coming to Ghana and everything but i think they should explore other places as well. most black americans are from places like Angola, Cameroun, senegal , ivory coast, nigerai,, equitorial Guinea, mozambique, Guinea, Liberai. and Of course sierra leon. these are also beautiful countries with rich cultures
Don't forget liberia and sieraleon .i think for the moment ghana is good and stable enough to wellcome our brothers and sisters from the diaspora, but that's not the case of all the countries
actually that would not be true, now for those Afrikans living in the diaspora in other places that would be true. More than likely, what ever language the Afrikans in the diaspora are speaking, one should look at the Mother land and see what they are speaking. For instance, if they are speaking Portuguese in a particular Afrikan country, and your country speaks primarily Portuguese its a good bet that is where your ancestors came from. Same for French, if you speak French, then its a good chance your ancestors came a country in Afrika that speaks French. Most Afrikan Americans speak English so we would come from a part of West Afrika that speaks English or were colonized by the English. Now Louisiana would be a different story, because first the Spanish colonized it, then the French and latter it became an American state. Now this is a not a hard fast rule, but in all the DNA test videos i have seen this has held up.

She starts to say something about the south in the US was closer or similar to the African experience. So we must not let anyone tell us that we are so far removed from the African way of being . The people of Accra have a different experience, attitude and behaviour than the people of far north rural Ghana.I adapterd to Ghana so well fifty years ago because it and the behaviour of the people reminded me of rural US in the forties. Many of us were never influenced by what was shown about Africa on TV.I have had African friends since the fifties. So please be careful about stereotyping us and we will do the same for you.I love Wode Maya and the great work he is doing but I wish I could get him and those who follow him to realize that some of us were involved in Africa probably involved in Africa before his or their parent were born.People in Ghana fifty years ago did not treat us like ignorant strangers who had to be taught .We were just so glad to see each other whether we met in Africa,France or the US. .
@Van Brown that's exactly what I want to do! Establish and solid business here in the USA and live off of that Income and establish a business in Africa!
Ive watched a couple of this mans interviews and I can't tell if he's interviewing the interviewee or he's interviewing himself. He makes so many comments and cuts the person off. Please keep quiet and let the person talk!!!
Again I come to different video to and brother you're doing same thing. Rudely interrupting and trying to be this extra controlling self serve narcissist man. Please allow your interviewees to talk and actually answer the questions completely. This is pissing me off bc its good information but your delivery is ignorance at times. Brother please I'm trying to gather information so I'm able to transition there soon while supporting my people but you make it hard to support your channel properly. Blessings
Check out brother Dynast Amir, he is A.A and got a UA-cam channel for his african countries journeys. You can also check out bro.bomani for " africa for africans tour" in ghana.
I'm sitting here in the USA suburbs, but my spirit is regulated by the roaster in the background ! Nature nature and natural all day!
I appreciate that he did not question how she did not challenge how she got her name.
Aburi is the best place to live in Ghana. The weather, the breeze, the people. It like a country in a country. Perfect.
Nana Ashanti I couldn't agree more.

It seems like Africans never let the people talk
Good interview. However, you always interrupt your guest before he or she finishes her statement. That's is not good. Overall good interview.

Hello im looking for a host family for my well mannered teenage boys.
One of my main questions is how do I make a living?
Save money buy land to build you house or rent if you want. You can start a business if you want also.
Basically you must not be a job seeker. You are doomed if you are one.
@Van Brown that's exactly what I want to do! Establish and solid business here in the USA and live off of that Income and establish a business in Africa!
@Van Brown okay when I get home and get settled I'm going to check it out
@Van Brown what city and state do you have to be in to be able to see it
Is anyone on Instagram? I would love to connect. Does zohtv have a page?
i love it
Is there a part 2 to this? Thankyou
