- You've probably seen Mark Labbett walk off after losing the final chase a couple of times in the UK version. Now, he's done the same thing in Australia! Watch as he storms off set after losing the final chase to a two-player team.

Gracious? He started pouting and didn’t stop once he missed the Taj Mahal question, whined that he missed and handed them the game, then left quickly (which I’ve never seen another chaser ever do) and punched the set because he lost. One of the poorest shows of sportsmanship I’ve seen.

He just seemed frustrated moreso with the host than the competitors and he didn't really walk out he said congrats to them.
Grace Kirk plus he clapped and then congratulated them. I'm sure he's paid a princely sum all the same so we can't feel too bad for him.

The host is an absolute pain in the arse - spending all his time wisecracking in order to distract the Beast, when he should be getting on with his job of delivering the questions smoothly and quickly. He seems to think he's funny. Pathetic.

The host gave those contestants SO much time to answer when mark got it wrong! Brad gave them about 5-7 seconds before he had to push them....
The UK version is the harder one, Bradley does it the fair way.
It's possible debating time is edited out (or a portion only is shown) to save time...you'll tell me that's wrong though

You learn to appreciate the finer things in life, Bradley Walsh being one them. I've seen the US and Australian versions and both pale in comparison to the UK version.
That can be said about most of our gameshows that other countries copy though.
I’m Australian and I agree, I’ll watch the British version over the Australian because of our hosts which are cringe worthy, Bradley on the other hand is a natural
Walsh is more likeable, but I'd always enjoyed O'Keeffe's references. I don't know why people disliked him.

I stopped watching the British version after its host gave an egregious example of naked racism when introducing Shaun Wallace. Something like, When he washes his face, how does he know when it's clean? You could hear the crowd gasp amid the canned laughter. In the 21st century. It was like Bernard Manning had risen from the dead. An utter fool.

At least the Chasers don't have to buzz in and wait for their name to be called out, before they can answer.
They do have THAT time benefit over the contestants. It may not be much, but every second or two having to buzz in does add up.
The same happens on the UK version.
You can sometimes tell when they want the contestants to win or not, by how slow or fast Bradley reads the questions also.

In fact, the very clip I watched right before this one, was Mark walking out in a bad mood after he lost on the UK version.

Bradley Walsh is the best host of The Chase. This guy (I don't know his name and Brooke Burns from The Chase USA aren't anywhere near as good as Bradley. His funny whit and banter and when some funny questions come up is amazing and his reactions are also great too.

Mark is right though, he’s giving them questions where they can easily just guess between a set of numbers improving the chances of winning
Think that's something in the production... don't think the host chooses those questions mate.
They can only give a right answer to a numerical question if Mark got it wrong. The one about the Taj Mahal was easy, and I don’t know how Mark missed it.
@@brontewcat Whilst that is true, if Mark gets a numerical question wrong then they get a chance to answer, knowing that it is not Mark's answer, is I think the point others are making. So if a contestant maybe thought the answer was either one or two and Mark gives a wrong answer.....
And he often gets wrong answers that he actually knows due to answering too quickly in order to get on with the next question. Even when he knows the answer and gets it right, he does a 'move on' hand gesture to try to hurry things along.

Nah I doubt the chaser gets the prize money, but I did always think that there must be a financial bonus for them if they win. There would have to be something to act as an incentive to beat the team, otherwise why would the chaser be bothered to screw them out of thousands when he/she could easily and deliberately get answers wrong or waste time?

The only thing worse than the British fans trying to say that the questions are geared towards the Chasers having the advantage is how several questions on the bounce were geared towards the contestants.
As a side note, that final chase was quite easy, and I'm not Australian. There were a couple I didn't get (I fell into the same trap that Mark did on the Tasmanian Devil question) but they were specific Aussie knowledge things.

They do, There are 5 chasers; The Beast and also Anne Hegarty from the UK Version, and Aussie chasers Matt "Goliath" Parkinson, Issa "The Supernerd" Schultz and Brydon "The Shark" Coverdale.
Love Parko but if he was announced as being opposed to my team on the day, I would be doing fist pumps - he struggles to reel in even low scores.

First experience of Australian chase and there are already questions about kangaroos, tasmanian devils and alligators.
Just as the UK version asks questions that relate specifically to Britain.
And the US version asks questions that relate specifically to America. 🤷♀️
