Trimping Explained In 60 Seconds (TFConnect)

  • I was asked to create a short video for the TFConnect charity event, so here's a very brief trimping tutorial.
    This is by no means an advanced guide. If I went over everything, I'd be here all day. But if you're new to trimping... At least it covers the things you should know, starting off.
    I have a fairly large script written down for a more advanced charging guide, and this will be the next project for me to tackle. Though you might remember that I had a very large video about the Tide Turner in the works. I was making this video on my old PC, so getting the project files working on the new PC is a pain that I want to save for some other time. Not to mention how overly complex it ended up being... I know LazyPurple's pain now.

    One question professor, why is it even called trimping

    • @SolarLight
      @SolarLight  Рік тому

      It's short for "trick-jumping".
      Some other games had a ramp-jumping technique, which they also called trimping. A Demoknight main named Reima (AKA Craylash) decided to borrow the name for TF2, since "Demoknight charge rampsliding" is a bit too long. So, "trimping" became the new name.
