It should be positioned on the end of the ribbon cable as seen at 14:04

i found out the other day this is apparently an europe version so maybe it depends on where youre from? i recommend checking vinted for eu if possible! Tho the pink dsses these days get pricey :(
@@hamsterbuttocks yeah I remember getting my one in 2016 for Christmas and I broke the hinge in 2022 (summer time) and a month or 2 ago I got it fixed but now its white but the best part of it is the buttons cause there still pink TvT

Omg 3 years ago i used to have one that i spent like a full month modding, adding games and customizing. I sold ot last year for half the price i bought it cause i rarely used it but sometimes i do miss all the days of pokemon i played on it lop

I got my dream 3ds xl like 2 years ago and it’s the pink and white English version. I actually got it second hand from an anime convention for about $200 and then got in modded for like $40

you can move game save files by making a save backup on your original 3ds, copying it to the sd card of the new 3ds, then injecting it into the game on the new 3ds

UA-cam randomly decided I would be interested in 3DS modding videos again and they were right. Notably, some internet providers let you create a separate network that is only 2.4GHz and the 3DS should be able to connect to (unless I misunderstood what you were saying)
This wasnt random man 🙏🙏🙏 time to get back into your 3ds! I wish i knew but were renting the place and the landlord handles the whole wifi situation :') but sometimes with a mobile hotspot seems to work!
The process was hilarious to watch but I love the end product! Also have you played the ds tinker bell games? I love those game so much!

Oh wow you did such a good job! The closest thing I've ever done to this is change the shell and buttons on my Nintendo switch pro controller but I recruited my father to help me bc I was too scared I'd break it even following tutorials

Hi! So you can transfer individual game files from a 3ds to another which I believe is what you want, the icon you see at 8:47 is called 'checkpoint' and you can lookup a tutorial to create a save file and once you do this on both consoles you just need to exchange both files from your SD cards on your computer (if that makes sense). Hope this helps!

You could turn the wifi on your 3ds you don't have to keep it off because Nintendo shut down the servers. the last update was 11.17.0-50U if you want you could play online via pretendo network

i bought an ll for 55 because of a defect i fixed but this was during the 3ds bricking update it took me 3 hours to mod

I want to mod the pearl white Japanese one cuz they just look better than the US ones. I’m a little nervous about region changing it, though. I will definitely go to that website you mentioned for instruction and hopefully everything goes smooth

my internet routers wifi is too new for the ds to detect! but i found a loophole by making a mobile hotspot so i can use it if i really have to :)

idc what people say the original 3DS XL is my favorite 3DS in comfortability and look. Was never a fan of the glossiness of the new 3DS consoles and the special edition variants it has are beautiful. I have two one is Black and the other is the Pikachu 3DS XL and both modded.

2:14 how come your 3DS XL has buttons for “Select, Home, Start” at the bottom middle? The 3DS XL my sibling has doesn’t have it like that.

@@hamsterbuttocks just checked and I believe that’s the Japanese 3DS XL, known as “3DS LL” in Japan.
i had the same problem with the same upper shell, it got damaged so i just super glued it to the console( i know i should have not but i still did it💀)

Do you know how to transfer data from a sd card to a new one I tried copying the files and putting them in the new one but it didn’t work.. Also help me with the formatting same thing happened to me to! I use a mac, I don’t plan on using homebrew I just new some storage
Also tip for wifi, If you have a iPhone or Samsung you can use the hotspot and you can use its data (if you have it)
You have to format your new sdcard to fat32 first, else youll get that error i had in the beginnig! After its just copying everything from the orginal to the new sd card. Not sure how to do that on apple tho sorry, i suggest looking on reddit for people who use mac and how they formatted it

where can you find the model number?
the modelnumber is the sticker on the bottom of your ds, if you mean system version you can see it in the right corner when you open settings

How did you get it connected to the internet. My homesystem does not support WEP Cheers.. oh wait: 08:01 I guess you didn't? Or did you?
No, no internet used here, everything just installed with cia files. But later i realised i can make a phone hotspot which does show up so if you have that same issue and wanna use internet i recommend that!
@@hamsterbuttocks Yeah, I used my phone te create a password free hotspot and that worked. No I have to figure out how to get the games on there. I'm a bit confused. I have a few .3ds files but apparently you have to convert them to CIA. I found a tool for windows but that needs xorpads files first which you have to generate on the homebrew system I believe. Pfff :D
@@tekk9995 .3ds is for emulators, youre better off just searching for the cia instead of converting since the one youre looking for is probably out there. you can also download hshop through the universal updater but doing it manually through fbi is faster

(never scan your SD card for viruses after youve converted to Fat 32 it will remove the format change)
Gotta say your modding method is different from what i did Never used any linked hardwares Stricktly SD card File applications and internet bootleg

Omg I literally tried to replace my shell with these pink shells a couple days ago and I was struggling 😭 I ended up just putting the white top one back because I just couldn’t get it to fit 🥲
check if those plastic parts at the front are bend!! i just could not figure it out at first but i just clip them off
