this helped, i now play for 3 D1 schools at the same time, and i average 20 triple doubles a night. i sometimes have to play 1v5 though, which means i can only win by like 3 points instead of my usual 100
I’m a 6’1 8th grader that plays every chance I get. I stay away from drugs and all other bad stuff middle schoolers do. Seeing players like you really gives me motivation to keep working to try to play college
Stay away from the drinking and partying! Have your fun but be responsible, I was 5”10 in Jr high and wish I would’ve been more responsible and made better friends. Stay true to yourself man!
Basketball was my life but I been struggling with Heart problems since I was in 8th grade, I had a Heart murmur and it was hard for me to breathe, got surgery my Freshman year and waited 4 months and after that I was cleared to play, I been working I'm butt off day and night, 3 years Later it all payed off, I got NAIA offer at Haskell Indian nations university my senior year of high school, but in the middle of senior year my heart problems came back, I couldn't do it anymore, it got to the point were it was dangers for me to play, but I had a good run, I know how you feel about injuries, but you are so lucky you played in the College level, but I did things that have never been done before in my reservation/high school, I know that anything is possible, I plan to go in to law in forcemeat this coming year and become a police officer, and because of me, recruiters are looking at my little brother, and he's only a 8th grader, thanks for sharing your story.
You are the GOAT!! Sorry Pro ball never worked out, but I really soaked up the knowledge you gave me and I will definitely put that to work, thanks AJ!!
The advice at the end really got me. Next year I'll be a senior and I'm gonna keep reminding myself that basketball is supposed to be fun and not be so worried about getting more offers
A lot of skill everywhere. The only thing different is d1 schools have stricter academic requirements (so athletes can't be that dumb or else they won't make it) and they care more about upfront size and stats than they do future potential.
Advice from a D1 high jumper: Find your niche, don't try to go D1 in basketball if you arent among the best. Explore other sports that you could be better at if you're trying to go D1 specifically. If you specifically love basketball then D3 is also fine to try for. From what I've noticed, there are a lot of sneaky sports that can get you scholarships to good schools (volleyball, lots of track events, lacrosse).
I’ve been a role player/ bench due to confidence issues since the 3rd grade but I love the game of basketball and about to start 9th grade hopefully and am done I want to go d1 and want to work for it but I don’t know how any tips?
As a basketball player it’s really rare to find other players that take the game seriously and know how to play the right way. This video is super helpful for someone like me that knows how to play the right way but doesn’t know the pathway to get to the next level. Appreciate you bro🙌🏻
Your videos help a lot I’m in 7th grade and I keep trying to get better even though I’ve noticed things like becoming a starter to dressing 8 grade for some of the season I still am trying to get better the only thing is I have low self confidence and even though I know I’m getting better I don’t feel like I’m performing as well as I could
I really appreciate this. Thank you. Trying to reach my dream right now. I’m a freshman at a community college now and next year I will try to walk on. I lost those mental battles before but I’m trying to come out on top of them. They are a bit tougher as of today than before I feel. But this time I have knowledge from the past. God bless you!! I definitely feel needing to take school more seriously. So many distractions around. John 3:16-18 King James Version (KJV) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Have you considered doing a podcast with basketball related guests? I know it’s kind of cliche to do podcasts but i feel like a lot of people would watch/listen to it.
For us international players is extremely hard to play college basketball, because you won't get a full scholarship if you are international. You can play college basketball only if you pay and transfer to a college in the USA.
I played junior college, and the biggest issue was grades. Like Tanner said there are sooooo many talented players who could light it up. The issue was grades. The other issue was the selfishness of the players. Numerous players were simply trying to showcase their skills trying to get a D1 offer. We lost so many games because of it.
This is interesting. Yesterday I was at a seminar about a company that has helped hundreds of Icelandic kids get D1 scholarships to play soccer (3 of whom I played with a few years ago play they're in LSU and N-Carolina) and they just started helping basketball players now. I mentioned before how I got offered a semi-pro contract to play in the top tier of Norway but now I'm planning to play in NJCAA with AACC Riverhawks cause a family friend lives across the street and has offered me a free place to stay, then I hope to develop my game there with proper facilities and hopefully transfer to D1. Got my eyes on SDSU cause they've showed interest in me and I have a friend there too.
i’m a rising senior in high school and have a lot of d3 “offers” and a few d2 but i’d really like to play d1 i just dont know where to start with recruiting as i couldn’t play AAU this past spring/summer season. is it still possible or is it just too late for me?
I’m a 5”8 8th grader and I am sharpshooter and have ok ball handling, but when I play against high school players I always get the ball poked away. Any tips?
I have a similar issue bro and I’m literally a 5’7 8th grader (personally a finisher who can create my own mid range jump shot) but my handles are only decent too, I think that you and myself should both literally practice the fundamental drills of dribbling on a daily basis Also srry abt my channel name I can’t change it rn
I’m a freshman had the same problem I found my go to move and it works so people sit on that and then it opens stuff up. Because of that move I’m playing 6a varsity. Find a go to move and use it and then ur more unpredictable

And man if I tell you that adversity hit like a truck, especially this year. It's been a battle, but I'm determined to be successful.
