The "surf song" is actually a horrorbilly song - it's basically rockabilly with horror themes, sometimes with a country bend. I guess it was included to add to the 50s B-movie feel of the expansion.
Also I have a theory about the grave yard bosses I think they’re the most “evil” kind of people and therefore retain their minds since they must be such monsters they don’t really need to be made mindless, like the girl at black water said how bad her uncle was and also all the boss’ undead talk in a demonic voice like demons, and I don’t know about you but a talking undead seems freaking weird even for this game, there has to be a bigger picture otherwise we would hear other undead speak every now and then, also the character designs kinda scream evil too... I’ll be back on that in a minute when I do more research Alma Horlick seems pretty evil to me even if she is undead now, I can’t make out what she says exactly if you could comment on what she says it would really help
This in depth reviews are some of my favourite videos. I immensely enjoy then. Great work! And as a late subscriber, it will be a joy to go back through previous episodes of this meaty series.
My opinion [its just my opinion before watching the video just saying] is that it was a 4 stars game Gameplay. Gameplay is amazing considering I played this game in 2018 and I love it however the head disappearing glitch is annoying so if the head glitch was removed the gameplay would be top notch Story. The story isn’t as good as the original however it doesn’t disappoint as it sends you all across the map to benefit others more than your self which is a big point of undead nightmare that people need to work together to survive Main character. I found John way better in this dlc than the original game he’s way more serious about this and he’s not afraid to pull the trigger on a fello human in order to stop the end of the world Towns. The towns mean something in this game they act as safe zones more than just places to stock up on goods And that’s my main review for now if it wasn’t for the glitch with the zombies this game may have been one of my favourites, and that’s saying something when you play fallout
I absolutely loved RDR 1, and after completing that I was excited as hell to jump into Undead Nightmare! I bought both games in the combo pack for the Xbox 360 around a year & a half ago (I finally got back into gaming after an 8 year hiatus), so not only did I get them for a fantastic price but I also had access to plenty of information online where I learned the Xbox One version of Undead Nightmare was basically unplayable. That said, the 360 version was plenty buggy even after making all the tweaks to optimize its performance. I played it for a few hours before moving on to another game. I liked some things about it, but overall I just couldn't maintain interest. Saving the towns just felt like Rockstar operating at 50% effort & just refined a few things with the gang territory feature from San Andreas and made that the majority of gameplay. I tried to.stick it out a bit longer, but I rode my horse through a train tunnel and somehow caused the game to crash & took that as a sign of it being time to move on. I'm currently playing RDR2 now and LOVE it! Great video!!!
I could never play Undead Nightmare for very long, played in short bursts, as I never felt safe anywhere and got stressed out way too easily. Maybe if I got one of those legendary steeds like you did, in particular death, I would have had an easier time.
I LOVE this expansion. But I'm lost at the moment. I've cleansed every town, and I can't find any more missions to do. I'm just riding around forever, not knowing where to go. I haven't even got to Mexico yet.
I liked everything about this game except the quest with picking flowers and the one with finding a retcher. I even liked the travel to Escalera song! I still play this game for fun, I love messing around with survivors and undead:) Overall, It's my favourite dlc ever, I like it more than the base game. Oh yeah, let's not ignore the fact that this game used to scare me sooooo much! I was younger at that time.
If you want to do another Western-Horror game, I'd suggest Capcom's "Darkwatch", where you, an outlaw turned vamperic vampire hunter, are recruited by the group known as Darkwatch, and you're sent out to battle western-themed vampires, and other undead monsters. There's even a "Morality" system, which, depending on the amount of Good or Evil choices you do can determine if you get Good Powers, or Evil Powers. Then there's all the cool weapons - your average six-shooter is a child's toy compared to its counterpart, which holds 24 shots, and things get crazier from there.
I love this game, but how tf did no one say anything about the glitches like everyone but you becomes headless, or zombies turning back into humans in an instant. has that not happened to anyone else?
A couple of people have mentioned this DLC being very buggy/glitchy, but I can honestly say I didn't experience any bugs during my playthrough! What did you play on? I was on Xbox 360.
thinreaper I'm on Ps3, yeah I've been getting sick of the glitches this used to be all I played. I'm giving it a shot now with no patches, seeing if that'll fix it
thinreaper so far it's doing better. I'm actually able to tame the horses, I tried earlier and it would let me on as long as I'm holding down aim, but it'd fling me off as soon as I let go.
The only issue I had with Undead Nightmare (which seems to be an issue a lot of people have lately too) is that it's buggy as hell. There's a really annoying glitch where randomly every NPC and zombie will have invisible heads and sometimes even their arms. At first I thought it was just a visual bug but whenever I tried cleansing a town with the glitch, the zombies wouldn't stop spawning. they would spawn indefinitely and the town cleansing meter wouldn't rise no matter how many zombies I killed. Same would happen with cleansing graveyards. They'd just keep spawning and it sucks because it renders the game unbeatable, especially the final mission in the tomb where they just keep spawning. It's extremely annoying as I just got the Game of the Year Edition after it was on sale for $10 and there seems to be no fix other than deleting a patch, which means no playing online.
They should have made a similar game for RDR2 but a Cowboys vs Aliens version, would have been a perfect fit. Also, there should have been a multiplayer free roam for UN
Best zombie game ever...just might be for the challenge of the headshot alone. Thanks for this review I had written this game off ebcseu I keep getting glitch where the zombies are invisible but not there clothes, not sure but I'm guessing it goes away?
I doubt I would do an in-depth review of those games because I don't think I would be able to find enough interesting stuff to say about the gameplay/art direction etc but perhaps a story critique might be a good idea! I've only played the first season so I need to play the newer ones but when I get round to that I might do something like that, thanks for the suggestion!
Personally, I couldn't stand this expansion at all, which is more a fault of how I played the game the the quality of the expansion itself. Because headshotting was just a flick of the joystick away when auto-aiming was turned on in the base game, I turned it off and played the entire game without just fine. But undead nightmare just doesn't play well at all like that, enemies are way too mobile to make hitting their heads any reliable and it was just a frustrating pain to play, the kind that makes me yearn for a mouse and keyboard. I could have turned on the auto aiming again, that would have helped tremendously I suppose, but when I play a shooter, I want to have to aim myself. That seems like the point of the genre. So I just hated my time with Undead Nightmare.
Could only play it with the infinite ammo cheat on. Fuck this game, its going nowhere, so I just used to blow away hundreds of Zombies at the Fort. Great fun!!
Yeah, since GTA V it seems like Rockstar's new strategy is to focus all their efforts on growing and expanding the Online mode. I guess that's a much bigger return on their investment.
I have all the DLC for Red Dead Redemption for the Xbox 360 I play Undead Nightmare from time to time but it's really rare I'm just really not a big fan of it I don't hate it I just play the normal campaign and not the what if situation with the zombies but maybe it's just me zombies are kind of overused in my opinion
I like you’re video bud But I don’t understand the critic behind some missions Like: you’re hating that there is so much action (shooting etc) but you’re also hating that there is not enough action in some other missions directly after the action missions You know what I mean?
Don't get me wrong this is a great game by the looks of it but there are some major problems people had in this game and it's a huge big glitches and Buggs
Have to be honest; I didn't experience any glitches when I played the game, either the first time upon release or when I replayed it years later for this review. If I had experienced them I would have mentioned them, but it's obvious lots of players are having problems. It's a shame as Rockstar obviously won't be patching the game now after all these years.
Also I never understood what I was suppose to do, I went to a town and after I killed the zombies I didn't even know what I was suppose to do because I ran out of ammo and honestly I just did;t even understand the game or what it is was asking me, and if you hadn't made this video I would nave have even thought the game has a point or that it's even playable...yeah that kinda sounds weird but if I did that how many other people basically just tossed the game aside and said well I guess this game sucks or something?
What a horrible game/dlc this was. It felt unfinished. it is a game where you need to climb roofs and traverse obstacles on the ground to get away from zombies. And it is bugged like hell. Too many times i found myself jumping like a moron while i was torn away by zombs. The story is as lazy and hollow as RDR. They let the worst caracters live, like the snake oil salesman and Seth. Nothing new. Unaffected by hype and propaganda score; 2/10
@@carsonsmith1732 I used to love the game but until then they'll never fix the headless people and the coot mission level like I played as much long for like 2 hours on one mission nothing counted the zombies that's why it is rated to a 2 /10

All I know is when that song kicked in, riding fast and heading to Escalera to confront Reyes.... It was unexpectedly random and AWESOME.
