Lush and beautiful tones. Full clean vibrancy completely alive. Each chord has genuine originality. rich brisk brightness that enhances a clear solid strong clean bass. Quite a fine guitar.
Nice review. Great information about the humidity...I'm lucky in that department as being in the South my house usually stays at 50% year round. My Taylor sounds warmer to me but not as articulate. I agree about the tuner just being a novelty. Jack location doesn't matter to me as I don't use a strap anyway.
Spot on, I had a Taylor and bought exactly the same guitar, fell in love with the sound too, so more balanced than the Taylor. What tuners did you put on it?
Thanks for the update! Im currently waiting on this to come in. I also had in mind to change the tuners to gold. May I ask which ones you got on? Thanks!
i have to stock model of strings on it they work best the action is factory height which could be a a bit lower but becarefull martin did not leave much room for lowing the action but it still plays beatutifull either way i love it
@@KevinMillard68 even if the Martin one on that price range uses a corian nut (still not a bone nut/nubone) and uses a richlite (again not a wood) on the bridge and the fretboard?
@@KevinMillard68 Hi Kevin, as a guitar teacher, do you think this guitar is good for a late beginner? I've had a Yamaha FG700MS for 10 years and now want to upgrade. I mostly play lead, solo, and fingerstyle, with minimal strumming, though that could change. I prefer a guitar with a cutaway. This one is expensive, but I’ll consider it if it suits a late beginner or low intermediate player. My other option is the Martin GPCX2E, which is half the price but only has a solid top. Ideally, I want a great guitar that will last me for years, though I don't plan on performing live.
Thank you so much for doing a review - and especially for doing a demo with it plugged in! Hard to find demos of acoustics plugged in these days.
Glad it was helpful!

I just bought one, plays easy. Brighter than the dreads. Great at what it is.
