@@dadadada-bs5ovthey guy shares his experience with afib and how abliation works for him. I think you should see a cardiologist to set you up with EKG and Eco to see what's going on in your heart.he or she might send you to a pulmonary if you have sleep apnea.I'm through these processes now.

I hope it lasts for you. My father had an ablation about 15 years ago and last year started having it again. Unfortunately I don’t think the ablation addresses the underlying root cause of why you started having afib in the first place.

I have Afib I just know. Long story how I know but I knew for years. Finally, my Apple Watch helped me get diagnosed and I’m praying I can start feeling good again. It is just more than horrible to feel like garbage all the time. So glad this guy is doing well now. I pray that’s also me in the very near future.

Hey man. Same here. I just experienced my first two episodes this year. I was training jiu jitsu, surfing, lifting weights. Now I am so scared of everything. I had my first episode in March and second in late April. I am wearing a zio monitor right now to see if they can see anything. I caught the episode on Apple watch so it was not yet recorded medically. My echo came out normal. Do you keep working out? Are you taking any medication? I am 42 also.

Another 42 year old with afib checking in. Afib has brought me to my knees. Just got progressively worse over the years. Scheduling the surgery soon. I was dumb to turn it down the last time I seen my regular cardiologist. Won’t be making that mistake again. I still work out in the good days but it’s pointless. If I push too much when I’m feeling good, even slightly, bam! Down bird.

My afib is getting worse also. Having my ablation in two weeks. Hoping my results are as good as yours.
Update: I am two months post ablation and doing well. 3 months seems to be the point where they make a determination on the results. So far I appear to be still having some afib but they can’t catch them on an EKG. Having a halter monitor put on in a few weeks to see what things look like. The ablation wasn’t that bad although the incisions in the groin were pretty painful for the first week. Only thing I have noticed is my heart rate really jumps up on any exercise. Did some yard work with this morning and I hit 174 but it dropped back almost immediately when I finished. Overall I feel like I am sleeping better and other than not having much stamina I am doing ok

This is my life for the past 4 years! Now its happening a lot more, lasting longer and happening closer together. On easter 2023 i had a episode right after church. Not even 3 weeks later while moving i had another. I was supposed to have surgery last summer but was to scared. Well, easter scared me even more. I passed out infront of my entire family and all my children. I was weak sluggish and couldn't focus. I just remember telling every member of my family that i love them & asking forgiveness of my sins. I'm about to have the surgery and I'm terrified. Especially hearing you can have ectopic HB for up to 90 days afterwards. I'm terrified. But this is no way to live. Its scaring my kids.

I wish my dad had an ablation years ago. Had I know about his health conditions, I would have definately pushed for it... He's 66 now, had a stroke 2 years ago. Diabetic. Is it too late for him an ablation?

How did you confirm you have afib? I have extreme fatigue and feel like my heart flutters. An EKG did not show AFib.

It's hard to catch. Had it since I was a child and didn't get it recorded until I was mid 20's. I just dealt with it, but as I got older, the episodes got longer and worse. The day I finally got it recorded was when I was playing golf. The motion of teeing off triggered an attack. I rushed to a walk-in clinic for an EKG and tried to stay in the episode by doing jumping jacks until I was brought into the back. They recorded it and immediately called an ambulance. I told them this was normal and said I usually can break out of it in a few hours. When I was younger, it would last only 5-10 min.

For years I thought I was having anxiety attack. Every time they did EKG I was fine as well. Now for better or worse it's been recorded. I'm hating the idea of taking more meds.

Hi, thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear you are going through all that. As far as what is normal, it's hard to say. People can experience afib differently and medications can also affect us. You'll definitely want to ask your doctor if what you are experiencing is normal or not. Hope you start feeling better and get the treatment you need. Best of luck to you!

Did your resting heart rate increase at all? I’m 3 months post second ablation and resting heart rate has gone from 76 to 90.

As the heart heals, it should return to 'your' normal. That was my experience, at least. It took me a while to get comfortable pushing myself in exercise again. Be patient but also don't live in fear as that will also keep your resting HR high.

Ablation is not a cure it's just to get rid of the symptoms for a while, it will come back again, and who knows what what the other side effect will be after an ablation that destroys some of the heart tissue,,,, I chose not to do it,,,,,

I have episodes and cardio version almost every month I had an ablation that didn’t work it made it worse the doctor punctured a vessel in my heart came out with 2 collapsed lungs 🫁 and had to go get a chest tube to remove 2 liters of blood 🩸 these doctors don’t know much I did research I started taking magnesium glycinate from natures made 200 mg with a 25 mg metropalol and just like magic it stopped a bad afib attack I just read also magnesium orotate is great hope this help the heart is not meant to be poked at be careful do your own research take your blood thinner but be careful with all these medications that are useless I am on multaq twice daily I’m planning to get off that and see how I feel and a healthy diet eat clean no processed meats or canned foods or boxed foods read labels watch your sodium only eat 😊one ingredient foods stay away from caffeine and salad dressing use olive oil and vinagre and herbs for cooking stay away from fast foods use only avocado 🥑 oil coconut oil and olive oil for cooking stay away from all the other oils they are very toxic to the body like canola oil corn oil vegetable oils don’t buy that those are seed oil eat clean inflammation is the major cause of afib don’t eat sugar stay away from bread rice potatoes 🥔 carbs are bad loose weight and you can reverse AFIB fruit vegetables and very little grass fed meat juicing is great eat cucumber is the best for the heart ❤️ good luck I hope this helps with your health no fast foods please 🙏 live a long healthy life
