- Kirsty Young presents. Cases include the murder of Nisha Patel-Nasri who was murdered in North London, the case of the robbers who nearly got away with over £1.5 million and an abduction of a child from a bath in Tyneside.
I know the Kirsty Young era is hardly a classic Crimewatch period but I do have quite a few episodes from 2008 and 2009, if you would like me to post then please let me know in the comments. For what it is worth I don't blame Kirsty Young I think it was the producers who changed the show. Towards the end there was hardly any reconstructions and those that there were too victim centered and hardly dealt with the evidence.
Can I just say Merry Christmas to all who follow me, over 1500 subscribers is brilliant and those kind comments do help. In terms of 2019, I hope to post more from the late 90's and around 2000
That poor little girl there is only one punishment for men like that put them in the room strapped into a chair and then left alone with the family of the victim to do with as they see fit

The last case where he assaulted a 12 year old before and only got 2 years behind bars. Someone that bold was going to offend again. It's hurts my heart that poor little 6 yr old girl had to go through what she did because they didn't put that man behind bars and leave him there

The case where the guy snatched the six year old girl from the bath and sexually assaulted her happened 13 years ago today hope she's doing alright today the brave little girl

I worked with DV survivors for 8 years and every single one of them was the money-earner & supoortor of the family ! you'd be shocked to discover how many men are financially supported by a woman NOT the other way around.

Shocked? Why would anyone be shocked? Women are perfectly capable of being the main breadwinners. They're not helpless idiots who can't look after themselves, or indeed others. Believe it or not,some families also have stay at home fathers. It's not the 1800s.

I saw the reconstruction of the girl in the bath kidnap when it was originally shown and it revolted and upset me in equal measure .Hopefully that nonce will never get out of the shovel.He deserves to rot in there

@@Autumn-Mist i’m guessing they are referring to “America’s most wanted“ but there are also local crimewatch programs in the states.
Some of the American shows are pretty decent. Murder on CCTV and Forensic Detectives are pretty good

Preferred it when Kirsty presented. I blame Jeremy Vine for the fall of crimewatch. It should be a weekly show. Surely it would get the viewers. I watched religiously as a child
It is back in now during the day, but it's very different Firstly, Viewing figures fell by over 80% since it's peak in the 80s. Secondly, the show can never be line it was in the 80s because society has changed and crime has changed. Britain had the highest violent crime in Europe in the 80s. It doesn't now. CCTV is now almost everywhere. DNA technology is miles better. Mobile phones give location data and message history. People use less cash now so the old securicor robberies that always used to be on don't really exist now. So many of the crimes they used to show would either never happen now or be solved very quickly. The police don't have to rely on witnesses coming forward now like they used to. That's why crimewatch now focuses on things like giving advice to victims of domestic violence.
I like how a member of the public tried to trip one of them on cctv at 33.40
There's a chronological problem with the robbery case and "flat cap man". They compared 2 photos, 1 from security cameras of a robbery and the other "at the time of his arrest" but the storyline suggests that comparison was made BEFORE he was arrested.

@@karti-soor My point is that you can't compare a photo you have with a photo that hasn't been taken yet. In no way am I suggesting the crime wasn't horrific or even that the wrong man was arrested. I would suggest the problem probably lies with the makers of this video and not the police work. There would be no benefit for a CSI student to watch these videos as they are limited in what they contain. It might be more beneficial for film makers/editors and continuity crew as training a training tool.
@@catherina2611 Yes, the detectives probably ordered the photo analysis post-arrest to strengthen their case, and not as reported here, prior to the arrest.

In many democrat cities now, District Attorneys don’t even request bail for arrested criminals. The result, predictably, is much more crime.

Didn’t a Californian judge let a rapist that was caught red handed walk free because he was from an affluent family. Brock Turner was given six months sentence, six months!, but only served 3 months. The draconian sentencing are only shelled to poor criminals
@@mountainman6172 What you mention is an exception. In the UK the criminal system protects mostly the offenders, not the victims. Child abusers are not redeemable, still, in the UK they let them go free after a short sentence, one which is cut in half after a couple of months, in most cases, it's shameful, how come a good bunch of victims don't get organized and make a huge public protest? Idiots.

Possible, yet against all odds for the previous owner of an escort agency; who had been enjoying unlimited access to young girls; to then suddenly miraculously be converted to being satisfied in the role of a faithful husband of one wife. He probably on purpose were scouting for a sugar-mama type relationship with a dependable, hard-working woman; who would not only support him, but whose financial assets could be liquidated - additionally to reaping life-insurance benefits.

Nisha's husband seems to have had classic addiction issues (it's not always about drugs). Spending money and having sex to regulate his mood because he was unable to do it himself. Like so many extreme addicts, he ended up arranging the most extreme violence to get his next "fix". It's exactly like someone with an extreme addiction to crack cocaine. No doubt if he hadn't been caught he would have got into financial trouble again very quickly.

He lived in the area. Often the styles of the homes on a road have the same but similar patterns. It could be that he has been into a house on the same road previously.

The 7 year old girl was just in the bath and then someone comes in to the bathroom and kidnaps her thank goodness she's safe and sound and she is so brave telling the police about that dreadful night

They probably had the girl micro chipped that how he knew where she was and that she was alone, its really happening some people have been micro chipped and read another person an thoughts, its being denied but its happening, next as the girl grows up they try to say that she's crazy, hope that does not happen though.
