This 2014 Optima EX trim with the technology and premium packages includes all these features. Panoramic Sunroof, HD Radio, Radio: UVO eService w/Rear-Camera Display, Infinity Premium Sound System w/8 Speakers, 4-Way Power Front Passenger Seat, Driver Seat Memory, Heated & Ventilated Front Seats, Heated Rear Outboard Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Power Folding Outside Mirrors, Gloss Black B-Pillar, Navigation System w/Rear Camera Display and the Blind Spot Detection w/Cross-Traffic Alert.
The standard 2014 Optima has a 2.4-liter direct-injected unit. It has 200 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. That is the most power of any base engine in the mid-size sedan segment. It's fuel economy is rated at 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.

I just bought a 2014 KIA EX. The problems that I am having is the 6th gear. Once you let off the gas and slow down all the way down to 42-43 MPG when you again try to accilerate using the gas pedal the car has not down shifted instead the car lugs all the way back to the speed that you where going. I once was doing 55 MPH and I must have hit the brake, I then hit the resume button as the cruise was turned on. I wanted to regain the speed of 55 MPH. Instead of the car regaining the speed that I had set the car at dropped down into a passing gear and then it excilerated to 70 MPH. I then had to push onto the brake pedal for the car to stop being stuck while accilerating.. It all seems that the 6th gear is the problem with the car. You cannot check the fluid in the transmission at all. No lights came on but something is really wrong with the operation of the 6th gear.
I dont drive camrys, accords or kia's but if I did I would be riding kia's.

I have a 2014 Kia Optima LX its pretty nice to me I've had it since April and if I still feel the same way about this car by December I'm going to trade this one in for the SXT kia is actually changing and it's actually a good change I don't think we're going to be looking at kia 5 years from now the way we do today
How has it held up over the last year? I'm planning to buy a used EX or SX soon.
For starters I no longer have a 2014 kia optima Lx I now drive a Volkswagen I got tired of every time I filled the tank up it would hesitate to start at times and sometimes it wouldn't start and when it did the gas meter would consistently tell WHEN IT DID started up that the tank was empty

I like that car - I just tried to spec one of these online and I couldnt get that leather trim with the EX and premium package - the only options were both dark leather. Any chance you guys have a Limited you can put on video?

Joon Autos No, no I am just very impressed by the Kias this year and the Limited edition version looked amazing. I am surprised that it is still hard to find an objective review or even a walk around and test-drive of the 2014 model year.
