I once did a communist Australia playthrough where I reached 3 Billion GDP and 28 SoL. My communist party support got so high it turned into a single party state without actually being one. In the end there weren't enough coffee/tea plantations to feed my people because their expectations were way too high

The type of communism that Bo got was market socialism. It’s basically where you replace traditional capitalism with worker cooperatives that adhere to a market economy. Every worker owns an equal share of the company they work for and elects a council or committee to run the company. Most Social Democratic regimes during the aftermath of WW2 tried to pursue this economic model. Even Tito pursued it. The problem is that paradox has it so that market socialism outcompetes traditional capitalist systems. When yes it does for a time but the moment the global economy becomes protectionist or contracts during a recession market socialism quickly falls apart. The reason why most regimes pursued a planned economy was because it was in fact insulated from global recession.

Also a recommendation incase you want to cut down on the editing time. you can put the discord game Overlay on top left of the screen, and everyone change their names and icons to their country they play. so we see which country is speaking and you wont need to put the country balls and change them every second.
That's how it work in the custom HPM mod they use. I personnally think it's completely garbo because it doesn't actually rework how non accepted culture work. It's just bringing vic 2 game mechanics ( having very limited accepted pop) to Victoria 3 without thinking about a lot of things.
