Totally agree good video. I’ve owned 2 panigales 899, 959 corse and ridden both primarily on the street. Yeah they’re warm but not enough to cry about like many do. It’s part of the experience of riding one of these amazing machines.
You can add a heat shield Ducati made for the 1299 or v4 that cuts the heat in half roughly. It needs a little trimming but goes under the seat and the side panels behind your legs.
heat issue is true, but this bike is not made to be driven in jeans or shorts...anyway, this is the best looking bike ever made (v4 too obviously).. so.. you can forgive the heat any time you drive or look at it... in Italy we made bikes for bikers, it means that there is always a little pain in a middle of a big smile. enjoy it
fab82 xx I agree, it was meant to be going fast also and the heat isn't as bad when you're going fast. The bike looks fast just sitting still. Definitely the most beautiful bike of all time. I couldn't be happier, it makes me smile unlike any other bike I've been on! ❤️🇮🇹
Hey love the bike, I have a 2019 ninja 650 and am looking at moving up to the v2 but the twin kinda sketches me out. How does the l twin compare to your brothers 4 cylinder?
robby carpenter I have a 2017 Ninja 650! Great bike! The Ducati has a choppier throttle where the R6 is suuuper smooth but the twin of the Ducati has power everywhere in the Rev range and TONS of power at the top, the R6 doesn't even start making power until 8k rpm. Both are great bikes but I think the power band of the Ducati is alot better suited to street riding (although it's faster on the track too but it has more power so 🤷♂️)
Awesome Err you’ll love it! It’s even better in person, trust me. I think any of the V4 windscreens should fit for future reference but don’t quote me on that. 👊👍
Hey awesome thanks. I'll have to get one out on the road and see. I'm here in So CAL so the Summers can get pretty dang hot 90-100+ degrees. I've had 2 R6's and 1 Kawasaki and was thinking my next bike might be the new V2. Still thinking... thanks for your videos....
@@JonesBrosGarage i will 2nd this..... my brother just got mt10... it's good to but riding this just feel diffrent everytime you get on there it's amazing....never get old.... but that ass does get warm....
Would I get rid of it no. Is it the hottest bike I've ever been on yes. WNY state even on a 60 degree day it's uncomfortably hot. Just got the ducati spacers kit. Will install soon. On a 10 or 40 min ride it is borderline painful on the back of my thighs. Radiating from exhaust. The seat is warm but that's just noticeable not uncomfortable. Wearing jeans for reference. Again wouldn't get rid of it. But compared to my old 1098 it's definitely a lot of heat.
You find it hotter than the 1098? That’s interesting.. I’ve never rode a 1098 but always assumed it would be even worse. To me it’s definitely worth the heat for such a sick bike and I personally like the look of the exhaust under the seat so.. pain is beauty I guess 👍🤷♂️
loreto I've actually picked up a proper camera and gimbal since this video, this was all done with a gopro. Thank you watching and thank you for your feedback!! 👍
D Mac clear clutch cover, slip on, tail tidy, possibly a repaint.. gotta wait for this whole COVID-19 to end and plus I’m putting a lot of money into my UA-cam equipment and building my wr250r this summer 👍
Its wierd... I came off a gsxr 600 that used to run hot engine temps in stop and go traffic... But the bike never felt hot to ride. Now im on a monster 821 and the engine temps are cooler, but the bike will literally bake you in traffic. Idk why ALL Ducatis feel so hot. I like the brand obviously and happy to finally own a Ducati but why do they all feel so freaking hot?
fernando moran I was curious how hot it would run when we got warmer weather here in PA! I'll have to buy a comfort seat and try it out, I would've never thought of that 👍
I've never thought of that, interesting idea, or upping the water % in the coolant mixture. I worry about Engine Ice causing the bike to run colder than designed on start
Yeah my bro with that shit the engine will be fresher but u just have to wait after u start it because an engine need to be hot before u make it work it's just an idea but i think i'm gonna do that if my V4 project becomes true
I've seen a vid of a dude with 899 says there is a heat shield kit like you mentioned. He said it helped a lot. For us that live in Cali it can get pretty toasty in the summer time and I've definitely felt that heat off the R6 before. At night it keeps you comfy and warm almost, like a big blanket AROUND you. It doesn't burn your butt cheeks tho since there is nothing but air there. That sounds much worse lol
drewmorg it is like a nice warm blanket sometimes! 😂 people don’t realize when they buy fast cars and say “oh it’s a race car,” it’s not even close to a race car. It’s way different. But these bikes are literally race bikes. You have to know that and be prepared to make sacrifices on certain comfort aspects going into it. With that said, I really haven’t experienced too much heat on the Ducati yet, not as much as people described it as at least. It’s like I got a heated seat for free 🤣😉😉
No I haven’t. It honestly didn’t bother me too too badly. It was warm on my ass for sure but other than that it was liveable. My 701sm tends to burn my leg more than the V2 did, I just have to be sure to wear proper pants
Stop bitchin its not that hot, I just got my 2018 959 and coming from ninja 636 2005 and daytona 675r 2010 its not bad, just install heat wrap and your golden. If its too hot get a Vespa. I love my 959 and V2 its the sexest bike in the world deal with it, its worth it.
Don’t listen to this guy. The Ducati Panigale V2 is a piece of shit. It heats up is an understatement. It’s an extremely uncomfortable riding position and the bike literally forces you to be pressed into the handle bars no matter how you position yourself or grab the throttle. This bike is literally a name and THATS IT. service at ducati is fucking terrible prices are worse and I could not regret more getting this bike and getting a Ducati over all. You’ve been warned. Riding around on a Ducati to impress someone else is not worth it. Trust me.
I see you bro. Haha! Loving the vids. Happy for your progress bro. Im really paying attention to all you've done so far. Check out for my mail. Peace and stay safe
It's just too good looking

I started with this v2 as my first bike!
Really?? How's it been so far?
I was thinking to do the same thing, it's nice to know that the heat issue is managable
Can a beginner like me ride ducati v2?
I got an older 748 and it will put welts on my leg from the heat. But when they look as cool as Ducati’s do it worth it.
M Motorcycles hell yeah man! Dating a suoermodel isn't easy

I'm in Canada, that heated seat would be a nice bonus

Sold mine the 1199 the hell with that heat!! try owning one in Houston Texas!!
I can’t even imagine. Where I live it’s more of a feature than a draw back lol
Sick ass bike, cant wait to get it. I'd put the higher racing windscreen on it

First time Panigale owner/rider. I love the heat, it's kind of comforting for some reason. Not a huge deal IMO.
@@thespectator5259 Australia. I don't think it will be any worse than a Japanese 600 in the summer to be honest.
I agree with you that it doesn't see worse than a 600. I've enjoyed the heat alot on chilly days here in Pennsylvania myself

try to use a gimble for shooting the footages and that might helps, good work and nice video!

Hey Bros, are yall planning on doing any mods to her? if so, what would be the first....?

idk about engine heat but damn it is hot to look at :)

It’s 🔥 for the right reasons
What’s the running temp when out riding?
ch1c0h with the cooler Temps (55-65F) where I'm at lately it's rarely broke 200 tbh, not as often as the R6 does oddly
mine runs at 220 ,i libe in miami,i got the comfort seat and is a big big big difference u can hardly feel the heat
fernando moran I was curious how hot it would run when we got warmer weather here in PA! I'll have to buy a comfort seat and try it out, I would've never thought of that 👍
i also removed the cats and that helps too bi time but is very very very extremely loud,ua-cam.com/video/PS5iWxKZS5c/v-deo.html
You shot this video in the fall or winter time not in the summer when most people are riding and when the bike would be noticeably hotter.
hi bro the key of that problem is ENGINE ICE high perf coolant kind regards with love from Paris

Pomplardpanam will do thank you 👍 and good luck on the V4!
thanks bro 4the moment that's good i have already put a lot of miles on it n i will go 4the heat things in the end of july
Hi... I'm from India... Your bike heating?
In which speed you feel heating issues?
Yes it is compared to 939
Most likely, dedicated sport bikes usually are warmer

Even its boiling 🥵 under the seat on the Streets.
It can get toasty lol
In S Fl the V4 felt like it was burning through my pants... R6 not too hot... never been on the V2, it is beautiful...
Not really… I burned the inside of my leg on my 959. Sucks. Did you find a real solution?
No I haven’t. It honestly didn’t bother me too too badly. It was warm on my ass for sure but other than that it was liveable. My 701sm tends to burn my leg more than the V2 did, I just have to be sure to wear proper pants

Its not hot for a Ducati i habe ride the V2. My 1098 first bike and second 1199s is much hotter. I buy this year the V2 i love it

Garbage.... hard to work on and very expensive to get fixed .
