in 4 min I learned about the filter pane that is honored based on the 'All Visuals' or 'Selected Visuals' option (very useful!!) AND the trick with the measure. Very simply yet not obvious. Thank you very much for sharing!!
Creating a calculation group with the desired filters and logic. The calculation group can be added to a slicer and configure the slicer to horizontal mode for buttons. This requires far fewer clicks to set up and doesn't require duplicate visuals or measures.
Calculation grouos aren't available to everyone.
I would avoid page filters for this instance.
Instead, using a hidden slicer that is impacted by the bookmark.
Excellent video with some useful information about when the filter pane is included. Not related to the video itself, but I guess I don't quite understand what the benefit of using bookmark navigator would be over a normal on the page slicer - I guess I don't understand the benefit, and it feels like long-term there would be more moving parts and more things to maintain. In any case, love the content as always - keep it up!

That's a killer tip! So in a sum if you have many visuals and want to use a Bookmark to change a single filter without "resetting" all the other ones already applied, change the Bookmark to Selected Visuals with only this one slicer selected! The slicer needs to be visible though, sadly
I need a solution or guide to swtich between bookmarks without changing slicers. Power BI Desktop (RS), Normal Desktop seems to work with lot of effort.
I want to switch between a bookmark with relative date, and a book mark with Between date. The visuals needs to clear when switching but the Slicers must remain with the original selection. If i select data all visuals states are kept, if i click selected visuals then nothing happens when I change the dates

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY WAY TO MAKE THE UPDATING BOOKMARKS AUTOMATIC WHILE HAVING A PAGE FILTER PLEASE !
Bookmarks are powerful but so difficult to maintain and build. Power BI team should think in another way to build them and manage them.
It became a lot easier after Bookmark Navigator was introduced
Q: is there a way to hide the bookmarks from the mobile view? I dont want my users to manually switch between them, I want them to do that with my buttons
Q : I have 2 page preweek & custom using bookmark I navigate between both pages. In both pages I have date slicer between to show previous week or whole year date (I have a measure 'preweek' n 'custom' that gives the last 7 days or last 12 months).On both pages the date slicer visual I have set this measure as a visual filter to dynamically change the date. The problem is only 'to date' in slicer changes 'from date' remains to the date on which I published the report. Eg 3Sep23 to 9Sep23 next week becomes 3Sep23 to 16Sep23 (it should be 10Sep23 to 16Sep23). Measure is correct just the slicer visual display is not refreshing. If I click on the rubber its all okay. Is there a way to bring the clear visual feature to bookmark so that my dates are fixed.
Bookmarks are not so powerful as long as we are not able to opt for the right bookmark by some condition
