Hey! I've bought Jeff's book about Flight Simulator X and boy, it is one of the nicest book on the subject I've ever read. It's nice to see the man who wrote this wonderful book.
Very nice coverage of the strengths and weaknesses of the product. Think how much better it could be if the MFD at least were touch screen, so your zooming and panning didn't have to use the cumbersome knobs. I bet the GTN's touch screen will migrate into this product in time. I'm surprised that Garmin hasn't provided greater integration with their own radios, e.g. to be able to use the airport information to tune a frequency and so forth. Perhaps that will come with the GTN too.
The downside to this beautiful piece of technology as with any other instrument, is trying to tune / push the right frequency / button during choppy and bumpy weather. You might end up pushing a button you don't want.

Thank you soo much this helped me a lot .
well, the 3d terrain display really helps with night and low/ zero visibility flights, just make sure that your GPS is working correctly :)

Nice! This is my neck of the woods, KOJC. I like my G1000 but this in a Lancair 4P would be perfect!

@fabriciorechy I worry about problems with the g3000, an all touch screen cockpit? No thanks, I hit enough wrong buttons on my touch screen phone.
