I am looking at a Jack Laurent Giles Boat, a Carbineer 46. But one of the ones made in Australia. Sailboat data has wrong info on Sail area as it is actually 1100, the 46 is 38 at waterline. It’s construction is 34mm fg (at least at the bow thruster tunnel) hull, this one has a foam cored FG deck. It’s a 1988 in Croatia. I am looking for a blue water boat but my budget is awful. It’s for my son who is autistic with spontaneous rage caused by PANDAS. but is nearly perfect and happy whenever he is on a boat. It’s magic and so we will move onto one. But I want the safest boat I can get under 130k. This has one owner. Has been updated and serviced since new. When new it cost 1,000,000 AUD in in 1988.
Have looked at boats. Like the design of the Kraken and how the boat is built. Including material selection, chewing of the boat, and solutions it has. But unfortunately have also looked at a boat with an electric motor, larger battery, solar cell, windmill and diesel generator to regenerate storms. Is this something Kraken Yachts is looking at or considering?
