Very interesting shop tour, cheers for that ! Despite the use of modern exotic fibres, the basics of rope making have not changed much . Not talking about braided or kern-mantle ropes but basic twisted ropes. Anyone who has visited a traditional rope walk will see similarities with the spinning head and the ancient Egyptian 'Disc of Sabu", which is over five thousand years old. Looking forward to more of these videos, Fair Winds Kraken xx
Our team/crew remove trees and obviously ropes play a major role in our work. I also climb using the latest rope & hardware technology but this is my first look behind the scenes of rope manufacturing. This video gives me even greater confidence in our tools of the trade... And, Oh Yes, I'm a Kraken fan and dream of one day becoming an owner captain!!!
Certainly more racing boat focused. Also should really be used with a carbon mast. For cruising boats, it is harder to find riggers to work on the rig out of the first world and it can be a lot more expensive.

As a sailor and climber, my life is often I. The hands of rope manufacturers. How do Kaya test their ropes and to what standards?
This very question was put to Nurettin and will be in the Q&A next week.
great video. That marketing guy must have had his English lessons from an Aussie.
Yo, what do you guys think about synthetic rigging for blue water boat? tks
