OMG - I am an amateur at photoshop completely taught through youtube (as building websites) and this tutorial is stunning! Your voice is brilliant too. I followed the steps using two screens and admittedly it took me 1 hour to complete my task, going over and over again to learn new steps. Im gobsmaked that i have created a passport cover mock up with a logo. Sensational!!! Thankyou very much - Brilliant!!! Cx

Jack Casement...The "T" is just an upper case letter of this particular font. The H and E are lower case. If you want to make one letter larger than the other, highlight the character you want to enlarge, open your Character panel (Window > Character), and type in a larger point size in the size field.

Just make a new layer at the top & make a composite snapshot. The only way your text can be selected on the composite snapshot is to make sure it's active, go back to your text layer and press control or command as you click on the text thumbnail to make the text into a selection.

    ctrl + shift + alt + e!!!
i've been trying to remember that simple key command for the past 14 years, ever since i used it first.
i've asked many other photoshoppers, but they didn't know what i was talking about.
i had to do everything the long way, duplicating sets/layers every time i wanted a composite.
(this is my 1.21 jiggawats realization!)
    thanks!!

ariyamaya82...It's possible your quickmask button is selected. That's the button directly below your foreground & background color boxes. If your quickmask isn't selected and you're still getting black & white, make sure you're clicking on the background color and choosing brown.

simaobfingerb...Your video card may not be powerful enough to drive the new 3D-based Lighting effects. Also, your Graphics processor needs to be enabled. Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor box should be checked. FYI: A "composite snapshot" is a layer that shows everything you see on your screen at a given time.

    Great tutorial!
The DPI will not change the resolution of the image when you set a fixed pixel size, it will remain 1920x1080. Only the print size will be lower as you increase the dpi.
To make high res pic you must enter size in cm, or inches then dpi will do as you would expect.

I'm presently using CS6 Extended, however, your text shouldn't be limited to 75 points, no matter what version you're using. Try a different font.
