I decided to offer an additional “mini-cnc-kit" with all the plywood components less than 1 Meter long (no hull and deck panels) to reduce shipping charges. The first mini-cnc-kit will be ready for sale in January 2013.
Thanks Tom, the total sailing weight is approx. 70kg. The crossbars mounted on the main hull are aluminum (u profile), the retractable arms are made of wood (or plywood). Main hull and amas (floats) are made of plywood (stitch and glue).
Hello, what does sailing weight is 70kg mean? that I cant sail with 2 people on board? if so is it because of efficiency drop or risk for capsizing? is this model meant for the seas? ...I am considering to buy it would appreciate the help
very nice ...... any chance you sell plans for self builders? Video says plans available for 525 and 540 but no sign on website?? Ideally slightly larger ? 7 metres?
Thanks, DaveThe Trika 525 is my prototype. I decided to stretch the main hull a bit thus the plans I sell are for the Trika 540.I offer a slightly larger but more capable design, named TriRAID 560s which has more freeboard and a self-draining cockpit.Furthermore a TriRAID 620 (double ender) is under construction.
I would love to see a video walkthru showing closer views of things like inside the cockpit and attachments of amas to crossbars and crossbars to main hull. I would like to see the mast step, etc. By the way, is the sail reefable (I always want to be able to reduce sail size in a hurry if big winds come up). And when will the plans be ready? I would think that you wouldn't be able to send kits to Florida, USA, correct? So, plans will be fine.

Actually I meant the boat weight, ready to sail is about 70-75kg.The designed displacement to DWL is about 235 kg so the payload is about 160 kg.
looks very slippery. really like the look of the rig
Very nice boat. I like your retractable amas. Can you tell us the total weight of the boat, fully rigged? Are the amas aluminum? Thanks

You seem to need more jib halyard tension. This will give better upwind performance
