I really like your keel design. It probably puts a lot of pressure on the rudder, but I think it's a great idea rather than a daggerboard. Do you get a good upwind gps track?
Hi Michael, the rudder is extra large for extra lift, no pressure at all. The performance will definitely be better with a daggerboard, but you have to take care for that when beaching or sailing in shallow waters.
Hi Grunter, the renovation of my just bought house is taking up my time, so the trimaran is in rest. However I adjusted the rigging, reinforced the hinges and replaced the jib. The tri is not designed for speed, more for save sailing on the river. Speed is 8-10 kn, I touched the 12 kn once.
your video is very nice. i am also building a trimaran. my question: is it possible to register a handbuild boat in your country. in my country its illegal so i am thinking about register my boat in a foreign country. i am from croatia. it would be really helpful if you could answer me. your video motivated me and i will also post a video when i m done. Thank you a lot.
Very nice boat. Well done John!
