Gacharic Spin announced a couple of weeks ago that they will be doing a DOLL$BOXX mini-tour of Japan in December 2024. There have been no announced plans to release new DOLL$BOXX music but at least this side-project isn't dead. It will be interesting to see if and how they integrate the new Gacharic Spin members into the DOLL$BOXX line-up.
Cool So, they’re Dolls, controlled by the industry., with their robotic not-playing-the-instruments moves. Btw, this was Years(4?) before the mannequin challenge went viral. But only months(6?) before Miku sold her “gap” concept 😉 I’m solidly in the best-solo-ever camp (well, wait for their 14th/last song Dragonet, and song 11 Shout Down rocks, and most everything she plays of course.) she definitely writes her parts, whereas I more mimic a style and try to paint a similar image to what I hear, I think she practices the exact motions of each written part. Btw, just like you’re stuck on Blink182, I can’t not think of VanHalen’s Jump with this solo. It’s really just the first chord under the solo that’s similar, but the image stuck 🤷♂️ I know the guy who helped her work it out. He also works with LisaX (got me into the jFeMetal scene, & was signed for prog instrumentals at age 11), Hazuki(LisaX Band / Koiai, Nemophila, Disqualia), Narumi (Lonesome Blue, Disqualia, Aldious fillin, Destrose; her solo instrumental album is amazing), and he works frequently with Fuki (plays guitar solos on her solo album) and thus Mao (Lovebites, LightBringer), Unlucky Morpheus, tons more. Quite an elite club. TomoZo was just on Marty Friedman’s show recently, reminded him that they’d shared the stage together before, on his material. And remember, besides contributing a few songs to GS, Takayoshi Ohmura (BabyMetal, Marty Friedman Band, Liv Moon, Uroboros, etc) also hires GS as house band for his annual Birthday/Christmas Concert. Hard to remember that resume tho, when she’s doing her John Fruciante imitation, or her campy girly songs about taking walks, making pancakes, or being the cutest 100,000,014 year old alien guitarist in japan (she says that. Often.). But it’s all part of the package. Mikio Fujioka’s last time on a full stage, legit candidate for best guitarist ever (you’ve seen him metal; he’s also Ohmura’s teacher; look for his Adrian Belew and Allan Holdsworth tributes, or playing Beatles in the style of Jeff Beck). Look for him, from far side of the stage, to give TomoZo the Fox Sign wink/nod to go ahead and take the solo 🤘 (Static single cam, not great recording, phone mic?) ua-cam.com/video/wgTh6wZjtGE/v-deo.htmlsi=2FUD3AGYIvbHmVKV Also try this recent Q&A mini jam/promo/interview, TomoZo hosting Hana (Vox, guitar, arrangements, DB drummer) & Ohmura, esp about latest song he wrote for them (captioned): ua-cam.com/video/9jKWWduN20o/v-deo.htmlsi=p5NTAJQtVk2vvM1R PS Bonus: it won’t spoil song reactions to check out this fan compilation of TomoZo live solos. that is a really fun video. fuki is so captivating it almost hurts ! and tomo-zo ? she belongs in every conversation about great guitarists as well as bassist koga who is an absolute beast. love oreo reona's keyboard work too. and hana is now out front playing guitar instead of drumming - i kind of miss her there
Hey guy's FYI, this Tuesday Bring Me The Horizon will be releasing the video of their live performance of "Kingslayer" with Babymetal. I know you've already reacted to the fancam version, but you might want to give it a rewatch for the proper audio
This title reminds me of another song by another band (a very special duo): React to this Japanese duo : *THE DEVIL’S KILLING MERRY-GO-ROUND* 『ディアボロス』 _[Trad: Diabolos]_

It's a two man with Gacharic Spin and a Zepp tour. I was there when they announced it.
So that mean Fuki will join them right
Love this song, gets me hyped for work
Hope you will think about doing some live videos of theirs at some point as well
Definitely a song that benefits from the live performance and the solo is replicated perfectly.
Cool

Great reaction and it helps to be "high" for this song, it's in the title.
Love it.
Very, “Take My Chance”, sounding. But I’m cool with that.

Not my favorite song but better than the toy solder song which was the only song not written by Hana….
Love Hana…amazing…
Have you done the song “Money” from The Warning? Another great tune from them!!!
Need more Lovebites not baby metal concept bands 😊
your timeline is off. This pre-dates Baby Metal (and Band-Maid for that matter).
@@Wyl7Gcharic Spin pre-dates BABYMETAL and BAND-MAID, but BABYMETAL were active by the time DOLL$BOXX formed.
