Gyroid is instantly my favorite design now. I'll use octet when I'm going for strength, but when I make things for friends (often) I will 100% go with this every time.
Nice! You have a very clear way of demonstrating techniques. You should really do a Fusion 360 series starting from the ground up. I think that would be a hit.
Thank you for the awesome video tutuorial, learnt so much in such a short time. Keep up with the outstanding work. Could you do videos on knurling/patterns etc on flat surfaces or box??
Thanks for sharing this video! So I downloaded the zip file for the "artistic" version of Slic3r PE with gyroid infill for windows, how do I add that to PrusaSlicer app?
Hey Matt, good stuff. Constructive and unrequested advice: Would be good to see a bit more of the finished product at the end of your video. Also time-lapses never hurt :)
Thank you for clear and concise instructions. You are running F360 on MacOSX in this video but the " artistic " version of Slic3r PE you are sharing is Windows version. Did you ever get a Mac version?
If you look closely at the gyroid in the slicer, you'll see there are little bits of it free-floating in mid-air (at least in Slic3r / PrusaSlicer). What happens with these when printing?
Why are you smiling like that? I just like to smile, smiling's my favorite! -ELF 2003 Good video Matt, your smiling in the start of the video made me smile a bit.
Great video. Do you know if there is a setting in the latest slic3r betas that allow you to turn off the interface layer for zero perimeters that you asked supermerrill to add for you?

Awesome video Matt! More Fusion 360 tutorials would be most welcome as well - you rock at this!

Very very good blog Matt, looking forward to seeing more videos coming from it
Thank you so much. I followed your tutorial and created a nice vase. Now I can´t wait to see how it will print.
DUDE! Thank you for this video. You gave me a ton of useful information just using the spline and shell tools.

But how on earth would one achieve this using Cura 5.1.1?

Look forward to your strength properties test
Hey, Pretty cool, thx.
Now to do it in Cura. I believe Cura now supports this infill pattern. ;)
