Mark has become a father figure for many boys and men out here striving to become self-sufficient. I have learned many skill sets from him that I will pass on to my children and their children. Much love to you both.
Thanks so much for the comment, I really appreciate it. I had a lot of fun chatting to Mark, and he does a great job making gardening knowledge accessible for all
I am really into wildlife, grew up watching Steve Irwin. 2 years ago I decided to start getting into gardening, I came across Mark, and the first video I watched of his a Kookaburra flew into shot. I have been a subscriber of his every since. Thanks for this great podcast and some insight into the man.
Great video! I started watching Marks videos last year and he is one of my go to resources for gardening info. By his videos I could tell Mark was a real good dude, this video of him talking about his life and his story reaffirms that initial belief.
Thanks so much for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. This channel is all about sharing stories, including those that my guests don't normally share. I loved being in that moment with Mark and hearing his story from childhood, to work, family and UA-cam.
This was such a lovely interview! We've made ourselves some raised garden beds and and were able to fill them with logs, tree branches, leftover mulch, etc. etc. So that was so much more doable than thinking we had to get tons and tons of dirt to fill them all the way. What valuable advice, it's a real game changer. Even us younger people appreciate not bending over so much to garden haha and might not have found myself out in the garden so much without that advice. It allowed us to have tons of fresh vegetables last year, and hopefully even more to come this year~ Thanks to Mark for that!!
I'd never thought of that either until I started watching Mark's videos! thanks so much for the comment, and your feedback on the interview; I really appreciate it
This was such a brilliant interview! Mark has always been such a genuine, and down to earth guy. He inspired me to start a gardening channel last year and I can’t thank him enough. Sharing any knowledge is so uplifting. Thanks so much, Kat **goes to search for the quail video straight away**😂
Gr8 video, m8!… Been following Mark’s journey… also… it is quite surprising the number of successful Qld er influencers on You Tube… Super Car Blondie (Alex), Currently Hannah (Hannah Price in Japan) and then Northern NSW… The Weedy Garden (David), Geoff Lawton(Permaculture), Flow Hives (Cedar Anderson), Daley’s Nursery…and Mindful Men… well done the Aussies… I think one of the pioneers war Don Burke of Burke’s Backyard… ancient history now! Cheers, Johno🍻🍻
Thank you for doung a 1 on 1 about his life. About his story. We need to hear his peace. This man is exemplary. Thank you for covering his story.
my pleasure - it was great to hear more about the man with the most amazing garden!

There are only degrees of self-sufficiency - we all need each other eventually 👍

What's your favourite game? Cool gaming chair 😲👍
I thought the same when we started the video!
That’s sad for yer dad.. probably couldn’t face his own mistakes. 😞 good on you though. You are doing great anyway. We all have things to overcome.
Thanks so much for the comment. It was great to hear some more of Mark's story, and what drives him in both family and work life.
Now I have to go look at your early videos, robotic mark 😅
I didn't think they were as robotic as Mark let on... but looking back at my own early videos, I was in the same category too haha!
Are you "Valencia" like the Orange? Swear there is a Orange named after you.
