Reynatis is having a collaboration with NTWEWY! I don't know how major this collaboration between these two RPGs is and I know nothing about Reynatis so this is INSANE to me!

What's the vibe yall? Is this a sleeper hit?
Yeah, might as well you bring you up to speed on what this game is. Yes this was revealed at a Nintendo Partner Direct, but only for Japan. It's been made a company called FuRyu Corporation, and they've been making relatively budget AA titles that some take inspiration from other success, like Trinity Trigger being a homage to Secret of Mana, Crymachina obviously taking cues from NieR: Automata, Monark taking cues from SMT, with them having different publishers in the West, like XSEED and now for us, NISAmerica.
As for Reynatis this is taking inspiration from both Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Kingdom Hearts and Verum Rex, with the creator being a HUGE KH fan. And funny enough this game is being also worked by Square Enix Staff that worked on both Versus XIII and Kingdom Hearts. Including FF art director: Yusuke Naora, FF Versus XIII Script, FF7 (and Remake/Compilation), FFX Writer: Kazushige Nojima and goddess of all music, including KH, Versus XIII and FFXV: Yoko Shimomura.
It's coming this September 27th for the West obviously on PS4/5, Switch and PC, and a week after for us Aussies and Kiwis. It's indeed a Real-Time Action RPG, and yeah looks neat. And that NEO TWEWY crossover thing started with a tease back at April, when we all thought it was an April Fools joke, but NOPE it's real

I'm so damn hyped for this game
I'm looking forward to this as I'm a fan of FuRyu, but gotta say their games have a tendency to be 7/10. Overall they have great ideas but the way they pull it off misses the mark somewhat. Give Crystar and Crymachina a look but I'd suggest passing up on Monark. In saying that I love Crystar for it's story, world and OST and Crymachina has solid gameplay and a Sci-Fi movie fan might get a kick out of it. The story isn't as good as Crystar but it has some great moments. If you're into your hidden Gems take a look at the Mary Skelter, Death end re;Quest and Blue Reflection series.
7/10 is totally the vibe this game is giving me, but I never had higher expectations, so as long as the gameplay hits I'll be there
While the soft art isn't my thing, the gameplay looks good and the TWEWY crossover might have me get it for the Switch.
Same, honestly. I didn't really care about the game at all until today.
So many good games this year.
Okay so fyi on the release date Zeta, the July 25th release date is only for the Japanese version, while the worldwide release is near the end of September!

This was originally an April fools joke that became reality also this game was inspired by Kingdom Hearts they even have Yoko Shimomura as the composer.
I love it when that happens! This game is actually getting cooler by the second! The music was amazing!

It looks home-y I can't describe it fully..
I can't help but feel that "Reynatis" is going to end up being rather disliked. It keeps getting compared to "Kingdom Hearts" (through "Verum Rex"), "Final Fantasy" (through "Versus 13") and even "TWEWY" due to the collab. All while it's a mostly lower budget niche game. Heck, go check out all the other games FuRyu have developed ("Alliance Alive", "Crystar", "Crymachina", "Trinity Trigger", "Monark", "Lost Dimension", etc)...literally none of them are even in the same ballpark of scale, budget, or polish.
That's not a recipe for success. Short term maybe out of curious hype and brand draw but definitely not long term. Expectations for what this game is or even what it's even going to be is getting to the point of being unrealistic.
Oh well. I regularly play obscure niche games, many of FuRyu's stuff included, so I'll probably enjoy it just fine.
Oh, they made CryMachina?? Oohh! I know that game the rest.. I'm unaware of.
But honestly, that was the reason this game was on my radar. When you try to become something you aren't, you usually fall flat on delivery.
I will try it for TWEWY alone though!
I follow nis America so they recommend me the game some times is a hit and some times a miss like how Ys 9 get me to play 8 and I am waiting for 10 but also monak was a disappointment not because it was bad but it has a think I consider a huge design mistake (when you win a fight you don't earn exp but spirt points and those point are use to level up all your characters and also as money so you have to grind a lot) the art and music are great but the game play is to grindy for me.
