This is the best pedal on my board. It basically made it so I don’t have to learn how to play synth, plus all the crazy things you can do with it by turning your guitar into a hybrid between synth and guitar. Thank you so much for making this, Meris!
I love this Pedal Its just so complicated and doesnt feel intuitive :c marking for myself my favourites so i can listen to them and pick them if needed :p: 0:22 Preset 2 4:52 Preset 10 5:13 Preset 11 6:17 ring modulation of course preset 13 6:47 Preset 15
Way to go Andrew. IMHO you are the one doing justice on Meris pedals, I’m very glad Meris recognized your talent. Hope this is a long relationship. Great demo guys.
Some great sounds. Hoping for your pedals to have more than 16 presets in the future. Too many nice sounds, and not enough slots to keep them all in the pedal.
Think about those times in your life where you were playing an instrument and you lost yourself, only to wake up hours later, the sun has gone down and it's time to make dinner. That's what playing an ENZO does to you...
If you do this type of videos and diagram for all your pedals I'm going bankrupt in less than a month. I already have Enzo and Ottobit jr. is arriving... Hedra and Polymoon are also on radar... Video like this help also to visualize how the pedals work. Thank you!
Finally I found your video... have my Enzo Ferrari since 4 days....got some very nice sounds and effects...but still the pedal is a bit confusing.... found the presets on the internet but still difficult to steer the whole thing.... One serious question.... how do I connect the expression pedal to the enzo. My pedal has in and output.... but I can see only one cable coming out of your expression pedal. Would be great to hear from you. Many thanks and regards from Chris..
i'm pretty sure it's a modified Fano Guitars JM6. To the best of my knowledge you can't order them with the Tele pickups and bridge like his has, so it appears to have been professionally modified. His has a Mastery bridge, which is definitely aftermarket.
To access without a midi controller, you can manufacture a TRS to MIDI cable and connect it to an audio board and from the web browser switch from one preset to another. It is not perfect or comfortable for a live situation, but it works.
Here's more of a touch/feel question for Andrew. Really dig your playing on these examples. I have been playing through your example for PS9. When you switch over to chordal playing how do you keep that first pinch under control? So in essence you are accenting with the spacey type decayed effect for the downbeat of each chord. Are you just lightly touching the strings after that or backing off the expression pedal? It's a really cool vibe but I seem to get it on other beats while playing as well. I am just direct into the Enzo not using an expression pedal at the moment.
Hey thank you! Preset 9 is really all about using the Portamento in Dry Mode for the automatic pitch bends. This is a triggered effect so as long as the notes in the initial chord are still ringing, you can play notes of the chord without re-triggering the bend. Not changing anything on the expression pedal, just playing lightly and keeping the chord held down and ringing. It took me a little while to get the right feel for it, you kind of have to trick the Enzo into not triggering.
@@MerisUs Thanks for the explanation. I have a feeling using the Enzo will vastly improve my dynamic playing. Look forward to checking out the other demos from you guys.
I'm a bit confused. The title says presets. But then at 0:10 there is clearly no presets/fave button plugged in. So these "presets" are manual settings. Even a very dab hand is going to take 20 seconds to set them up live (and need a photographic memory). Realistically we're talking a frustrating minute with a card and a flashlight on stage stressing the fuck out and killing the vibe of the show. So fine, you say, use the preset switch! But all these "presets" are designed to be used with an expression pedal... And the preset switch goes into the same input! Maybe you can plug and unplug the switch?!? Who knows. I'm guessing that would mean going into global settings mode with the manual to assign all the midi ports correctly so hardly a solution. Please tell me I'm wrong. I really wish the software behind this thing was just installed into a Zoom GXN or a Boss GT-1 housing to negate the baffling design decisions on this unit. I feel like I joined a cult just to get laid.
Probably not going to get a reply but it seems you can solve the above problem by using disaster area branded stuff instead of Meris and using a midi expression pedal into a DMC or micro. Would love to have that confirmed but that's what I'm going to try.
Sorry for the delay. We don't check on UA-cam comments regularly and don't rely on it as the best format to help and communicate with customers. All 16 presets are already loaded in every pedal. The purpose of this video is to show you the sounds and their manual setup IF you don't want to bother with MIDI.
Of course we'll reply! Sorry - We just don't check YT comments regularly. Almost all MIDI controllers will support an expression pedal input and allow program changes and expression control simultaneously. Disaster Area controllers work great with our products! That's one route to go! Next time, feel free to email or call us. We check our emails ALL day and our team of 4 are here to pick up the phone during the week!
Hey Joe, Enzo doesn't have a looper. You can set Enzo to Trails so the synthesizer will still play when you bypass the pedal. Great for creating a synth pad or arp and playing over it.
We have preset diagrams available on our website so you can dial in any of these settings. You can recall all 16 of these presets automatically with MIDI PC messages or the first 4 with our Preset Switch. You can edit and overwrite any of the presets to save and recall your own settings as well.
Love all of my Meris units but this one has a special place in my heart for making my guitar go into a space voyage.
Best pedal, synth or whatever you got. The Enzo just blows me away!
So glad I bought one....

You guys are costing me a small fortune but worth every penny!!!
Ha - thank you. Small price for BIG sounds. Plus designed, built and made in California - tough to achieve these days.
We use the Meris Enzo on all our albums. It's amazing!

He was originally a customer doing mind-blowing demos on his own time. Now he's a part of Meris now. We're grateful to have him as part of our team.
@@MerisUs so cool... keep doing it, do one with Hedra, Mercury 7 and Enzo, that must be a killer!!
All the YES!!!
That Greco is sick
Thank you for this PDF. Total patch nerd fuel here. It helps spur the imagination and direction of how to use this pedal, no joke.
Thanks for naming this pedal Enzo, like me. Very common name in southern Italy
thank you for making this video, found some new cool pre-sets

Please make a preset pedal that has an expression pedal input

Seeing this a year late. So glad somebody spotted this nugget. Love the synth lead on that song so much

this is awesome! can you guys do the video for the polymoon preset?
We intend to. Hope these videos are helpful to y'all.
Yay!!! Thank you guys
Playing for preset 16 was superb. What is that white guitar?
insane! would you do a video for polymoon too?
We plan to. Hope these are helpful to you all. :)
@@MerisUs Helpful in the sense that it makes me go and order the pedal straight away???? Lol then yes.
Quick question: Can anyone tell me what guitar Andrew McMilan is using at around 3:43?
Great demo btw : )

The Enzo is my only pedal now. Everything else, can be better done in the computer. ...but there’s no simulating what this thing does.
Just got it and was like... wow this can do everything.
Really wish something like these presets were listed on the insert manual card in the box!
Since there's Heel plus Toe settings too, it's 8 pages long! You can access the diagram here digitally. Link is in the info above.
I'm still trying to get the hang of switching presets, but it sounds cool so far.
Great sounds. Would love to see a more compact version. what is the white guitar at the 4 minute mark?
Hey Michael, it's a Jennings Voyager
Meris thanks! Very cool looking...
nice!
Excelente video me podrían ayudar para configurar el pedal de expresión y suene como pedal de expresión y no para cambiar presets. Saludos

Without MIDI, you can set it manually by referencing the diagram. Link is in the info above.

Walter Fleita hey mate! I’m super interested in this method. Care to enlighten me further?
Is it possible to use a preset switch and an expression pedal at the same time?
Kick ass, brothas!

Thank u. Guitar to Enzo to interface for these examples.
@@MerisUs yeah, with a guitar amp it sounds darker because of a speaker. I recognize my enzo as a synth rather than a pedal
