Just joined your "idiot" club and broke my tensioner after getting it in a bind with a bad leaner. You just saved me allot of time and worry. I owe you a six pack and a huge thank you.
Oh man, thank you so much!!! It was a perfect explanation just right for my problem. My dad tried to tense to much the chain and the piece got stuck in there. I just had to remove it and put it back on place. I would definitely get you those beers if you come around Palencia (Spain) any time 😊😉😂
Oh man thank you soooo much.... had it not been for your video i would have probably taken apart my entire saw...i sincerely appreciate your video...thanks a million from wesr texas
was on stihl wesite adn youtube and no one explained that PIN issue (mine fell off, NO Idea if was supposed to be loose etc, first stihl).....thanks man, going to grab that part
Thank you!! I broke the screw part. It was probably from when the chain came off from a small branch. Cause it broke really easily, with the bar loose.
Eric Leonard noticed the screw broken too ive barely used like 3 times since new and i was trynna tension the chain today to use it after having sharpening the chain and i was like maybe this has its own special tool
how do you purchase that same part ! Knucklehead number one here right along next to you. I’m just gonna order a few of them right off the rip. I just broke mine off.
Thanks for the vid. My problem is similar yet different, maybe you know a link I can go to the find the problem but when I use the screw to tighten it it won’t even tighten or loosen.. it’s like the gear is stuck. And I can’t tighten or loosen
Ha! I know. That screw was so slick, I felt like an idiot. In the end, 17,000 people have watched the video so far, so I guess it has been helpful. I had a cousin in West Virginia who called me bc he happened to come upon the video randomly trying to fix his chainsaw. The only good thing is that anyone watching the video is in a big club of knuckleheads with me.
Thank you for posting this. I just broke my pin from getting it stuck in a tree I was cutting. This will help when I get the new part.
From one knucklehead to another--you are a lifesaver! Thanks for posting this amigo
Exactly what I needed. Mine is not letting me adjust the tension at all. Thanks for the information!
Your a savior it was driving me insane trying to get it off, thanks you so much!
