Thank you Thomas for this epic creation. I've only had the AMP1 Iridium for a couple of days now.... After reading over a few of your tips in the Manual, and understanding how to use the Tone pots, this is now my favorite amp... EVER. I 've had some high gain monster tube amps through the years... The AMP1 Iridium blows them away. At first I was skeptical, then seeing Euge Valovirta give his demonstration, I took a chance. Glad I did! Thank you Thomas! -Talvi
Thanks so much Talvi, that's great for us to hear! It's always wonderful to hear an experienced player discover our amps after playing all the others through the years and still being convinced... Keep on rocking your Iridium :)
Mr Blug, you are the man. That vintage iridium sounds just like a bogner Helios. You did a perfect job at showing your customers which one to buy. Thank you sir. 🇺🇸
I have been watching several videos. There are too many to count. But I wanted to say, You are very hands on with your product and marketing. I have never seen a creator who has put forth so much time and effort as you have with these great amps. You made me pull the trigger and grab the Iridium. And I will buy the X as soon as I am able to. I know 100 percent without ever playing this amp that it is what I want and that is because how well you have marketed yourself. Just wanted to let you know, Its recognized and thanks. You are a great player. I wish I could be half as good.
@@BluGuitar It finally arrived. I had to order it from Switzerland. Straight of the bat I could tell this was not your average amp. OMG the headroom is amazing. The clean channel is every bit as clear as my PRS Archon. amazing. I have not done a deep dive yet, I have hooked up a cord to operate the Boss MS3 with the unit but it isnt sending clear signals. I will need midi. The question I have and really the only one is when I am saving my channels will the bass, treble and mid settings also be saved from the Irridium or do I need to find one setting as my tone for both clean and distortion and use the Boss to shape it? Thank you. I am very pleased with your product so far.
Hi Thomas, thanks for the demo! How about using the clean channel on either the Iridium or the Mercury with other drive pedals, for other flavours of overdrive or the elusive bloomy, slightly broken clean? Are they both equally suitable for that?
Hi there, yes! They're both great for drive pedals. We actually did a dedicated Academy of Tone episode on transparent overdrives with AMP1 - have a look at that here and we hope you'll hear some tones you like! ua-cam.com/video/P_EnM0R_SpA/v-deo.html
I am listening to this quite loud on a very good home theater sound system and the tones are un-freakin'-believable, particularly that LP Jr. with the P-90. My amp really sounds like shit now. lol And Thomas has been giving a blues guitar masterclass here. Straight up fire all the way around. Are these sounds all coming through the direct out via the Bluebox? Or are we listening to mic'ed speakers?
It’s all direct signal from AMP1 into BluBOX - no microphone!

nice! This vid shows me that Iridium is a bit closer to my sounds than Mercury. Always thought that IE is muddier, but here I clearly hear that ME is a bit too much saturated. Live could sound completely different though. Nice comparison.
I am sure you get this asked a lot but as for me, I am asking for the first time, so: what happened to the Amp X project? Will we see a beta in autumn? Of course I love everything about the Amp 1, BTW.
Hi Thomas- greetings from Pittsburgh! Rebell Yell was worth the price of admission alone. Could you at some point explain the mod to your Boss DD-2? Cheers! Love everything you do.
Hi !do you think the cleans are good for jazz/funk and can you have good bluesy tones on the clean canal with a pedal in front? i have the silver edition since many years ,but looking for more versality and thightness for gigs situations with the drives from vintage and classic channel ! i realy like the vintage channel sound from the irridium on many vidéos!
I would recommend to try both: iridium and mercury edition to try for yourself with your guitar. This way you can really tell… I hope you can find a dealer to do that…
I’m not using an EQ here! It’s only the AMP1 iridium edition into BluBOX with stack 1970, a speaker connected to the speaker through on the BluBOX as a reactive load… that’s all! No further things…;-) cheers, Thomas

Fantastic, Paul from The Studio Rats gets epic rock sounds using the Iridium, even with a Telecaster, looking forward to the interview! :)
Yes, we're huge fans of Paul's playing and tones with Iridium! It's a top interview, we're sure you'll enjoy it :)

Love watching Paul from The Studio Rats.
I agree! But I have to thank you again for our episode before!!!!!
Thomas over the years, I’ve had many big iron expensive and not so expensive amps….the iridium has replaced them all. Thank you👍🏼
Enjoy!

I feel the same as you 😂 ive been looking for a good all around tube amp and I keep coming back to Bluguitar. Seems like such a great innovative amp.
Loving the sound of that Iridium Vintage channel!
Sounds like my Mercury with an SD-1 added. 😄
…I also love that channel for it’s organic dynamic punch - especially with Humbuckers
I have an EQ in the loop of my Mercury edition to “ cut- tighten” the bass. Much love for your AMP -1 series Thomas
Whatever works for you!!!! ;-)
MORE MORE !
The Jr sounded amazing. Great playing and tones as per usual Thomas👌
Thank you 🙏

Thanks, glad you found it useful! Yes, probably the best thing would be if you could also try both AMP1s with your own guitar just to make sure...
Great playing Thomas Blug!!!! Love the scalloped fretboard just as much as I like scalloped potatoes.
Scalloped potatoes 🥔!!!! I’ll use that …!
Yes, it feels and sounds a bit more vocal like…
I would say…;-)

We’ll launch it at Namm in January
Great sounds !.I will wait for the ampx with hopefuly some soldano /boogie sounds!?.Keep up the great work Thomas!!
Yes,it will….;-)
Great stuff Thomas, thank u! Quick question: how would I run it through a p.a. if the fx loop was tied up with pedals? The record out?
Yes, recording out! Or use a BluBOX on the speaker out…
@@BluGuitarAwesome Señor thank u!
@@BluGuitaris the Blubox discontinued?

Good idea 👍 maybe in my Q&A episode - I planed that for 15 September..;-)
as a result ... i had the mercury edition and now it feels less alone with his iridium brother !!!
brothers-in-Tone ;-)

Is this iridium good for low volumen playing at home? High gain at low volumen
Yes, it sounds as good at home volumes as it does on stage! Thomas designed the AMP1 especially for this :)
I prefer the iridium also for classic sounds, I have it,to get the same sounds I have to put an eq after the IR, you put it too?
I’m not using an EQ here! It’s only the AMP1 iridium edition into BluBOX with stack 1970, a speaker connected to the speaker through on the BluBOX as a reactive load… that’s all! No further things…;-) cheers, Thomas
This sounds bad ass!!!!!
Thank you!!!!!
The latency wouldn’t be perceivable to the human ear in anyway. That’s basic science. Quad cortex sounds amazing. So does amp 1
Clean with a little bit of distortion is called a little bit of “hair” on the clean.
🙏 thanks 👍 I’ll use that in the future…;-)
Takeaway: the key to a good vintage tone is to get a vintage ES335. ;)
Agreed! Nice warm , still transparent, balanced… inspiring…;-) !

Hallo Olli…
Ich denke schon, notfalls ihn direkt fragen!
