@@TheAutoTeacher Well the thing is that the car in not running as used to . A slight rough idle …increase fuel consumption, acceleration is a bit slow and hesitation once I press the accelerator down. So I replaced the MAF sensor a months ago and the car was running fine. So I’m assuming MAP sensor is playing tricky games…
so your light went off after you cleaned it? never came back on? mines is stoppping me from passing emissions they want $350 for the job but if i can just clean it myself and save some money im going to try this first
It's normal to have some oil circulate in the plenum and it will coat the tip of the map sensor. If it's excessive you have more serious problems with the motor.
Thanks for the video ! My car has 80k miles on it . Should I clean it or should I replace it? Can I use MAF Sensor cleaner ? Thanks in advance !
You're welcome, if the car is running OK, I would just clean it. You can use MAF cleaner or electrical cleaner.

I would just skip the cleaning and replace the map sensor if the vehicle has to pass emissions. They're fairly inexpensive 8 to $25 on Amazon.
also, how long to clean it for with the electric cleaner? dry off with paper towel or dry rag??
No need for a paper towel or rag, cleaner dries in 5 to 10 minutes.
I bought one from autozone but code still there and I have a misfire too where did you buy urs from? Junkyard off a oem car?
Ours was just taken out and cleaned and not replaced . It would be the same procedure for cleaning or replacement.
What are your PO codes?
Mr auto teacher how do i reset code if I don’t have any special equipment or can I just drive it and hope the lights comes off ?
If driving doesn't work, disconnect your battery for about 10 minutes which would reset your ECM.
Should there be oil on it
