Nice project! I would suggest filling the copper with sand before bending so you have less crush on the pipe.

I made one of these for my mom about 20 years ago! Followed the plans right out of the magazine. The box base is a little worse for the wear, but the trellis back is going strong. I did my copper trellis in a square pattern.

I wish you (and all of UA-cam woodworking) would start by showing the finished project first so that I knew where y’all were headed with these things.

Agreed - that would probably be helpful.

I agree with you 100%. How this helps me, I can decide if I have enough interest to watch any video. Some thing you might do. When I find an interesting video on UA-cam I open and start the video. Immediately I fast forward to halfway of the video and then 3/4 of the way and watch it to the end from there. The saves me a lot of wasted time.

Well made video, excellent editing, short while being informative - and in addition, clever methods and tricks used.

To quote Jimmy Diresta. "If it looks straight, it is straight." This is a prime example of that. A majority of people will see this at 60 plus feet moving at 30mph or more. You don't need to get a laser on it.

Nice looking hair. Reminds me of my 8 year old after getting out of bed.

How old were you when you wrote this remarkable comment, 8 1/2?!

Note that you apply FORCE with the clamps.

Darth Vader never used a clamp.

Kidding aside...pressure is defined as force per unit area, (e.g. Pounds per square Inch), and the clamp faces are a finite length and width, so applying a force to the clamp faces is pressure.

@@jeffbaker8808 That answer might get you points off in a middle school science test. No offense.
