My biggest mistake was staying in a toxic relationship for too long because of the fear of being alone....but then gathering the courage to get out of it has been the best decision of my life. My advice is to get out as soon as possible.
These videos are so inspiring to watch. Everyone currently living on this planet will have regrets. No such thing as a regret free life or a perfect life. And you’re still young as well in your 20s, that’s a huge advantage! Time is still on your side! You are way ahead of the game to know all this. Keep going! I support you!
I recently read a piece of advice online and I decided to use it as my life guideline: Imagine you are old and on your deathbed, reviewing your whole life, you feel deeply regretful and sad. You wish for a second chance, then you wake up to your current life. Treat your life as if it's your second chance.
But no matter how hard we try we'll still have regrets right

I'm in this spot daily after becoming severely I'll and disabled with constwnt pain, I still can't do alot of things like I used to but I DO notice the massive difference between my way of thinking and time compared to others now
Now that 70 has passed, I wish I had met my wife in my 20's and not my 50's. For 16+ years she has been the joy of my life.♥️
At least you met her at all! Some never do, but I understand what you mean. Enjoy every moment.
Who knows, maybe if you met before you wouldn't have clicked... sometimes we meet the best people but we're not ready for them. So the best time to meet her was in your fifties.
If you met her early you might not have appreciated her because you would not have seen her value.
Maybe all your other relationships taught you something of who will bring peace to you so when you met her you know she's the right one.
Trust God's timing 🙏
I live in hope then. I'm 60 and have only had 2 relationships in my life. I've never been married, have any kids or lived with someone. Everyday I wonder when it's going to be my turn for happiness.
Lessons I‘ve learned (not in order of priority):
1. Don’t overthink and don’t be too afraid. What seems to be almost a disaster can bring you on a much better path. Cross the bridges when you get there.
2. Take care of your body. In younger age it can compensate a lot. Not so in older age. Do something to stay fit.
3. Take good care of people who are near to your heart and stay away from energy vampires.
4. Leave a job you hate rather earlier than later.
5. Time is very precious.
6. Don’t care too much about what others think is important or what they think of you. Define your own goals and find people who share them.
7. Find out what makes you genuinely happy. Sometimes there is a discrepancy between what you want and what you need.

I used to think his videos were cringe. Maybe still a bit. Especially when going up to old people and asking how old they are, is insensitive. But at the same time, they are often neglected, and yet so many young people can be helped from hearing and talking with them. Most western societies, and maybe in the world as well, treat older people with disrespect, and ignoring them...almost like a strain on everyone, when they really can be so helpful to so many people if just included in people's lives.

These are things which made to not lose hope in fighting for things because I know if I lose hope .I have to live in regrets..so better just think about ur future for a minute and think if u r ready to live like this..if not...work for it

I agree a ton with the 63 year old man. I think that everything that happens in our lives is meant to teach us a lesson, whether it goes the way we want it to or not. I would love to live my life the way I want to, but I would be leaving my loved ones behind and for me, they are more important than my dreams. I'm 29 and can maybe accomplish them at a later time but if I can't, that's okay too
Im in the same situation and at the same age. Im considering my career choices and worrying a lot about it. But your comment make me feel a bit at ease. Even if its not the best choice we can stay with our loved ones without regrets later when they're gone, right?

Keep true to your calling. I graduated as a nurse 3 months before my 60th birthday. I love my new life and have no regrets. Never let age stop you and goodluck on your life pursuits.

I’m from Japan and listening these seniors makes me feel home. Thank you for this❤ At the age of 24, I thought I’d regret if I didn’t try living abroad. So I studied English for a year and moved to Canada without a friend or a job. I got a good opportunity and got a PR myself. It was 7 years ago and I recently realized that although my dream of living abroad came true, i wasn’t happy. I’m now trying to change my career because I’d regret if I didn’t pursue what I truly like and I’m good at.
I find this so interesting. We are roughly the same age, and I too am going through something similar. I am working towards brushing up on a new language and living abroad. Would love to hear how you did it! Wishing us well 🙏
Big lesson: Everything is temporary. There is no recipe for happiness and no happy ever after. Stay curious and keep moving.

No matter what your profession is, at the end of the day it's just a job. Don't neglect your family and friends, they may not be here tomorrow.
I can proudly say I'm a person who makes lot of changes every year. I used to be disappointed with my own behaviours and my own decisions at one point but when i look back I'm proud that i walked away from people who poorly treated me at workplaces, friendships and relationships.
I definitely don't have a-lot of friends but have handful people who matter and I'm a glad i left people who always couldn't align with my standards in life.

Were you adopted out internationally when you were young?
Get certification of the genealogy and present to Japanese embassy. You may guided to obtain Nikkei cert and Japan passport
The Japanese respect their elders. In the west that has been lost.
Lol I did exercise and dance a lot lol and didn’t go to college. So I Aced that one !! 😂I had so much fun so I wouldn’t have any regrets later in life . I’m 40 now . 😅 time goes too fast darn it . Enjoy each moment. Live how you want to and don’t do everything society tells you to do ;) follow your soul …. ❤😊
I am also in late thirties and have no regrets but I am not as happy as I used to be. My standards were somewhat high but not very high. I guess everything has a trade-off. I felt like a Harvard graduate (also went to a pretty good school) in my 20s and 30s. Made a lot of money and lost all of it at one point. But money wasn't the biggest thing. It was losing people as you age. and also hitting the limits of my career. Anyways, I hope everybody gets what they need.
“Every experience is important.” Wow I felt that one! Life has led me on a roller coaster of a journey. I’m almost 30 and still trying to pave my way into the right career, something that I actually enjoy and want to do. I feel like all my previous experiences will eventually lead me to the right path and I feel like I’m finally getting there. This quote is very true.

One thing I've learnt is life is about tradeoffs. Even when we sometimes do what we wanted, we might eventually wish we had done the opposite. But then again, a lot of people also never did what they really wanted to do. 🥺😔
Facts tho there’s a couple stuff I shouldn’t done like give my ex girlfriends money,and let them use social media.I had to sell my car I couldn’t fix it,and now I need another one badly.
True... simply our life has two side...what we want and what we need..so according to this . better to see the reality of things..if it's really needed to do or good for us .if we do this then do and then just learn from it and move on...

I find it quite pleasant to take in different points of view from people of various ages. We have much to learn from the others around us and it is joyful to see that these people have a smile on their face even at an old age. Keep living and do what you want, we only get one life so make sure you take advantage of it and become who you want to become.
But from that point of Regrets, comes the Lesson. And a courage to live according to what is better than now and yesterdays. Our regrets, pains, struggles and trial and errors, make/made our story a whole piece of us. ☀️
