Yeah... if you eat at a decent enough restaurant its like 15 to most likely 20 dollars for 1 person serving in North America. Its so true, that money going to shitty fast food can be invesested to cook at home or get a decent meal. But here it's more about conveniences like drive thru which sells. Even though it's mass produced fast food it still has become very pricey. But people need food fast so they sacrifice they real taste of good home cooked food.

Not saying they did it because he was filming but when people treat others like Mark does, showing aprpreciation for the food and such like he does, people try to return the favors. Mark, you should dip your greens/vegetables/jengkol (or Malay call it jering) with green sambal and dip your smoked catfish with air asam (sour salsa). So funny when looked you exchange both of it. But, it still ok. Food culture of Malaysian is to mix and match the food, you can mix it as long as it delicious, 😋.

Do people in Malaysia not use utensils ? Because if they don’t that’s my type of party and I want to travel there immediately lol !!! Hands on and less waste from plastic utensils !! Love the videos Mark, wish I can travel like you one day !!
Well the majority of Malays do use hand, in particular right hand to enjoy the feast. But actually, we learn to eat with different ways. Hand, chopsticks, fork and spoon, etc.
you can use utensils if you want to, but its preferable to eat by hands especially on this type of food, it actually makes the food taste better for some weird reason.

Malaysian local food is delicious and famous but dont understand never been awarded a michelin star....wonder are they really biased against malaysia and often they awarded to spore who have a copy version of malaysian foods.
our fav foods are more into street food and been served in simple way. once we (also the chef) learn and appreciate what fine dining is, those stars will definitely coming. semua dikatakan agenda yahudi pun payah gak. 😅😅
Street food also been accolade michelin star not necessary fine dining....look at the famous auntie oryster fried egg of bangkok and spore soya sauce chicken rice. Both are simple street food too but been accoladed michelin star.... I think those michelin people are biased toward msia. Probably michelin star are reference guide for european only and since not many european travel to msia for visiting if yes also mostly for transit point only guess they not taking msia food seriously.

Mark another great video I am so hungry now all the dishes looked so good and delicious ...Mark you are number 1 ...thank you Mark and Ying and Little Micah
I also love the enthusiasm and the energy of the staff, they seem like great folks.
Thanks for visiting and promoting Malaysian foods.
That duck looks so really yummy. I must go try that curry. Food hunter of course. can't wait that.
Those delectables touched Mark's soul!!! He super enjoyed those awesome flavors.
@b king
Chill bro
I like when he mentioned "jengkol is one of my favorite in the world!!"
Rock on Mark!
OMG THIS IS LEGIT MY FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD FOR SMOKED MEAT man if i had known that you went here i would have gone to that place the day you ate there! i live so near 😥
Your lucky, i wish i was that near for that delicious food.
@@ladyof5304 omg like literally my family ate this every 2 weeks and we never get tired of it like i swear their smoked duck especially the skin is just the BEST thing in the entire world
Do people in Malaysia not use utensils ? Because if they don’t that’s my type of party and I want to travel there immediately lol !!! Hands on and less waste from plastic utensils !! Love the videos Mark, wish I can travel like you one day !!
Well the majority of Malays do use hand, in particular right hand to enjoy the feast. But actually, we learn to eat with different ways. Hand, chopsticks, fork and spoon, etc.
Traditionally malaysian eat using hands.
Ok. I want to hear your take on port-a-potties.
you can use utensils if you want to, but its preferable to eat by hands especially on this type of food, it actually makes the food taste better for some weird reason.
dcarl789 yes we eat using bare hand. Wash 🧼 first of course!
I'm loving how the Makcik is cooking with style..
*pours coconut milk*
"YASSSSSSSSS~"
Makcik, you are awesome
Mark and Joel are so sweet and fun to watch. Joel is a great addition to your videos Mark. What nationality is Joel? Keep up the great eating and traveling!
He does look like a very down to earth kind of peroson. I was wondering whats the guys name. And how did he become part of Mark's Videos? I thought he was the camera man but somebody else is recording.
@@717beto yes Joel is big part of mark's life cos he is photography of food for mark been eaten collection for life album of travelling all over the world

Tahniah 😅👏🏻👏🏻
Bro boleh tolong upgrade sikit chopping board dgn tempat potong itik smua tu. Berkeladak tgok. Tmpat bagus makanan sedap pelanggan pun lagi gembira nanti.
@@ma-rc7sw baru nak komen..betul tu...jangan fikir untung je..kebersihan kena jaga gak..tempat makan sedap rugi kalau kena tutup sebab kebersihan tak memuaskan..
tak tanya pun
Mark, you, your family and team are GREATLY beloved. Thank you for filling my tummy just by watching your videos. This was SO good, i literally sat right there with you and smelled the food, tasted, ate and even slurrped the sauce at the end. That was delicious. #easiestDietEVER #eatingThruComputerScreen #notGainingEven1lb #Yummzer
We all went here yesterday, normally im a hermit and dont like crowds, but once i tasted the food i was totally in my own world, its bloody amazing. PS the same chef in the same clothes is still cooking there lol, i took a picture and said hi, he's so happy cooking this food.
The looks of awe and satisfaction each time Mark Wiens tastes a dish is haunting! I love to watch the looks on his face!
Haha, Mark's eyes are always blazed out looking!
Serious Druggage.
Allen Fiddler more like a hard working man, traveler, husband, father, friend to Joel, blogger on top of his vlogging and businessman. He's constantly working.
Kimberly Gardner no it was probably just from the smoke of the coconut shells being smoked. Lol
m c yes, of course, that too for sure no doubt, but everything else that I said too.. But in most of his videos, people make this very comment, some people even take way too far if you know what I mean...
Haha..same as mine..his eyes like a "monster house" animation movie..sorry I forgot the nama play a character old man
Thanks for this amazing and mouth watering experience that I'm just savoring right now. Yum 😋🍛 and keep up the good work and fantastic eating🤗🍽️
Its about time to visit malay restaurants once in the while for a change.. unlike others vlogger just focus to Chinese restaurants only.. Malaysia in multi racial country so you have to respect each other culture equally
The legend reaction video is back in Malaysia. Always a fan.
You've found a winner, Mark, smoked duck curry.
I've had something similar to this but never been to this restaurant; looking forward to it now.
i've been following your videos, but it's the first time i've seen you sooo excited !!! that food must be REALLY good !
Best review food in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, someday I go there to eat all that food.

@@JakeFoster01 Right 😂 Reaching Far Asl

Thanks for for reviewing Malaysian foods mark!
bpa pinggan nasik goreng kampung boleh beli ni??
Being a Malaysian, this my 1st time enjoying this jewel :)
Most definitely a great place to have a hearty meal :)
Thanks so very much for your review :)
Dont go here during Ramadhan. The lady today was extremely rude when i tried to buy some food at 2.30pm, and even rudely asked if I was fasting or not. I waited there for some time, but she refused to sell me anything. Its sad to see they are becoming arrogant after achieving fame.
@@bryneg2664 hello yeah it isn't fun if you guys go on vacation during the ramadhan especially if you have a fav restoran cause most melayu muslim store wont sell or open till 8 or so...but there is bazaar ramadhan during that month.. There is a lot of food there but it will be super crowded cuase many malaysian buy it for their iftar..
I know its late but yeah just wanna let you know ❤

this dude is everywhere. this dudes a legend lol
Their reaction at 7:43 is “everything good in this world all together”. Love it!
Malaysian local food is delicious and famous but dont understand never been awarded a michelin star....wonder are they really biased against malaysia and often they awarded to spore who have a copy version of malaysian foods.
Totally agree, even though I'm Singaporean!
Biased policies is the hype nowadays, mate.
our fav foods are more into street food and been served in simple way. once we (also the chef) learn and appreciate what fine dining is, those stars will definitely coming.
semua dikatakan agenda yahudi pun payah gak.
@@blizzard9954 just checked, yes you are right.
Omg ok i LOVE duck but i would go just to try all those diff vegetables!! Lucky guy traveling with you!

Thank you Mark and Joel for another wonderful vlog of delicious , yummmy food .. You make an amazing team!
Wonderful too how they recycle the coconut shells for fuel!
Old toilet seats also burn quite nicely.

Hi, I'm Tracey from Ohio. Love your videos. I went to a tiny place called Win Wok around Beechmont in Cincinati. I got the Lunch special and it was amazing The noodles with shrimp, spices, fresh vegies, fried rice, egg drop soup. I was very impressed on how good the food was. Better than some of the bigger restaurants.
Tracey Lockhart Hi tracey, im from Malaysia and been to KY last year (North American stainless). There are one chinese restaurant at Middletown and Carrollton. The food are amazing and good. Since i am muslim, middle east cuisine also can easily be found. All American people also so friendly and nice. I proud with American people! Much love from Malaysia.
